IMPORTANT DATES:






Friday, February 13th: We will have school from 8:00am - 12:00pm. Detention is from 12:10pm 3:10pm.
Monday, February 16th: No school in observance of President’s Day.
Friday, February 20th: School will dismiss at 2:30pm.
Friday, February 27th: Interim Exam #3. Attendance Mandatory. School will dismiss at 2:30pm.
Saturday, February 28th, 10:30am: Academic Information Session (see below).
Friday, March 6th: No school. Staff Development.
UPDATES AT THE ACADEMY:

Academic Information Session: The Noble Academy will be holding an Academic Information
Session for parents of prospective students on February 28 th at 10:30am. The AIS will be held at 640
W Irving Park Rd. Please encourage current 8th graders and their families, who are interested in
attending the Noble Academy next year, to come!

Night school: Parents, if you have not picked up your child’s report card please do so as soon as
possible. Your child may need to take night school in order to be promoted. Failing to register for
night school in this week may result in your child not being promoted to the next grade or graduate.
Late registrations will not be excused absences. A late registration fee of $25 is now applied.

Night School Absences: Please be reminded that students are allowed only ONE absence. If a
student exceeds this number, he or she will not receive credit for the course and parents will not be
refunded.

Community Service: A total of 10 community service hours at 2 different sites are due by the end of
the year. Encourage your child to go above and beyond!

AIP: The Noble Academy’s Academic Intervention and Probation program will resume February 23rd,
for Quarter 3.
DISCIPLINE REMINDERS:

Pick up and Drop off: A reminder that students cannot be dropped off or picked up on State Street.
The city has requested that we not permit this for traffic reasons. Please use either Washington,
Madison or Wabash.

Loitering: If students are downtown, and it is 7:15 or after, they must be at school.

LaSalle: It is the student’s responsibility to inform parents that they have a LaSalle. Students can call
parents in the morning before school, during lunch, or afterschool from the main office.

Shopping and Stores: Monday through Thursday, Students are not permitted in any stores or
businesses before or after school. Students will be allowed to go to stores only after school on Friday.

Detention: If your child earns a detention, please make sure they attend. The pink slip needs to be
signed by a parent or guardian. Please note that - 1st skip = 4 demerits, and 2nd skip = 1 day
suspension. Not signing the slip = 2 demerits.

Viernes, 20 de febrero: Estudiantes saldrán a las 2:30pm de clases.
Viernes, 27 de febrero: Examen Provisional #3.
Sábado, 28 de Febrero, 10:30am- Sesión de Información Académica (ver abajo).
Viernes, 6 de marzo: No habrá clases. Día de desarrollo de personal.
ACTUALIZACIONES EN LA ACADEMIA:



Información académica Sesión: La Academia Noble será la celebración de una Sesión de Información
Académica para los padres de los futuros estudiantes el 28 de febrero a las 10:30 am. El AIS se llevará
a cabo en 640 W Irving Park Rd. Por favor anime a alumnos de octavo grado y sus familias, que estén
interesados en asistir al próximo año Noble Academia, por venir!
Noche Nocturna: Los padres, si usted no ha recogido la tarjeta de calificaciones de su hijo por favor
háganlo lo antes posible. Su hijo puede necesitar tomar la escuela de noche con el fin de ser
promovidos. El no poder inscribirse en la escuela nocturna en esta semana puede resultar en que su hijo
no ser promovido al siguiente grado o de postgrado. Las inscripciones tardías no serán ausencias
justificadas. Una cuota de inscripción de $25 se aplica ahora.
Escuela Nocturna Ausencias: Por favor recuerde que los estudiantes se les permite sólo una ausencia.
Si un estudiante excede este número, él o ella no recibirá crédito por el curso y los padres no serán
reembolsados.

Servicio Comunitario: Los estudiantes que reprobaron el requisito semestre de servicio comunitario
tendrá que asistir a escuela nocturna por $140. La inscripción será el día de recoger boletas o la semana
siguiente.

AIP:
Programa de intervención y de Prueba Académica de la Academia Noble se reanudará 17 de
febrero, para tercer trimestre.
RECORDATORIOS DE DISCIPLINA:

Recogida y entrega: Un recordatorio de que los estudiantes no pueden ser dejados o recogidos en la
calle State. La ciudad ha solicitado que no permitimos esto por razones de tráfico. Por favor, dejar y
recoger en cualquiera de Washington, Madison o Wabash.

Vagancia: Si los estudiantes están en el centro y son después de las 7:15am, deben estar en la escuela
y no vagando afuera.

LaSalle: Es la responsabilidad de su hija/hijo infórmale que han recibido un LaSalle. Estudiantes pueden
llamar a sus padres en la mañana antes de clases, durante lonche, o después de clases del teléfono de
la oficina.

Ir de Compras: Estudiantes no están permitidos a estar en ninguna tienda o negocio antes o después
de clases de lunes a jueves. El único día que podrán ir de compras o estar en algún negocio es el
viernes.

Detención: Si el estudiante es asignado una detención, favor de asegurarse que asista! La hoja rosada
de detención debe ser firmada por el padre o guardián. Tome en cuenta- Primer vez que no asisten= 4
deméritos, y segunda vez que no asisten= 1 suspensión. Si no firman la hoja rosada= 2 deméritos.
