SINOPSIS
Étienne es un anciano enfermo que vive rodeado de toda clase de objetos que ha
acumulado a lo largo del tiempo. Son recuerdos de un pasado trágico que no quiere olvidar. Su soledad diaria, sin embargo, se ve atacada por el mobbing que hace Jeanne,
la propietaria del piso donde vive, que junto con los vecinos y los servicios sociales tienen por objetivo echarle de su hogar. Por su parte, Étienne no tiene ninguna intención
de abandonar su piso, ya que vive aferrado a la convicción de estar conviviendo con las
presencias de su mujer y su hija ya fallecidas. Un accidente doméstico dejará Étienne
mal herido dentro de su vivienda. Con sus últimas fuerzas intentará pedir ayuda, pero
sólo descubrirá la falta de humanidad de aquellos que le rodean.
SYNOPSIS
Étienne is a sick old man who lives surrounded by all kinds of objects that he has accumulated over the time. These are memories of a tragic past which he refuses to forget.
However, his daily loneliness is attacked by Jeanne, the apartment’s owner, who along
with neighbors and social services want to throw him out. Nevertheless, Étienne has
no intention of leaving his apartment, as he is convinced of living with the presences
of his dead wife and daughter. A domestic accident leaves Étienne badly injured in his
home. With its latest breath he will try to call for help, but he will only discover the lack
of humanity of those who are around him.
Pere Vilà Barceló (1975)
Estudió guión cinematográfico con el director catalán Joaquim Jordà, con quién escribió algunos proyectos para largometrajes y Tvmovies. Después de acumular una
larga trayectoria de premios de guión, se inicia como director con el cortometraje “Los
peces del río Leteo” con el que gana el prestigioso premio Elsa Peretti Foundation.
Con la aportación de ése premio, en 2007 rueda con muy bajo presupuesto “Paso
a nivel”, su primer largometraje que es seleccionado por una veintena de festivales
internacionales entre los que se encuentran Gijón, Las Palmas, Rotterdam, Londres,
Buenos Aires, Lisboa, Nueva York y San Sebastián. Sin dejar de lado los cortometrajes,
documentales y otros proyectos artísticos, en 2011 empieza a preparar su segundo
largometraje “La Lapidation de Saint Étienne” con producción de Eddie Saeta, l’Àge
d’Or y DDM visual. La película, finalizada en 2012, cuenta con Lou Castel, Marie Payen
y Luis Rego como actores principales.
Pere Vilà Barceló (1975)
He studied screenwriting with the Catalan director Joaquim Jordà, whom wrote some
projects for feature films and TVmovies. After receiving several script awards, he began
as a director with the short film “The fishes from Leteo river”,that won the Elsa Peretti
Foundation prestigious award. With the contribution of that award in 2007,he shot “Pas
a nivell” his first feature film, which was selected for many international film festivals
like: Gijón, Las Palmas, Rotterdam, London, Buenos Aires, Lisbon, New York and San
Sebastian. While still working on short films, documentaries and other Art projects,
in 2011 he began to shoot his second feature film “La Lapidation de Saint Étienne “
produced by Eddie Saeta, L’Age d’Or and DDM Visual. The film is completed in 2012.
Lou Castel, Marie Payen and Luis Rego are the main actors.
