Join us on Sunday, October 25th from 2-3:30pm to pray
to end abortion. Let us show our discontent and disapproval with abortion through our presence. Prayerfully
bearing messages like "Abortion Kills Children" and
"Jesus Forgives and Heals," we will continue to follow
our Lord's command to spread His teachings to all
(Matthew 28:20), both inside and outside our church
walls. Of course, our position has never changed, but our
Church continues to make headlines when we proclaim
both that abortion is a grave moral evil and that God has
sent us to extend His hand of mercy to those who seek
forgiveness with a contrite heart. The more we are, the
less the world can ignore us and the little ones who are
being murdered in their mothers' wombs. OLG will be on
the corner of Encina and 24th Street, please do NOT park
in the open businesses' parking lots but rather around or
behind.
WORLD MISSION SUNDAY
Today is World Mission Sunday! In Scripture, we read
that St. Paul asked the Gentile Churches to take up a collection to support the Church in Jerusalem. Now we are
asked to reach out and support the young churches
throughout our world. Your prayers and generous gifts
to the Society for the Propagation of the Faith in the collection today will help missionaries offer the poor of
these areas practical help as they share the mercy of
God. It will ensure the development of local dioceses,
and support the work of priests, religious and lay leaders
who serve in those on the margins and in most need. Go
out to the whole world through your gift in today’’s collection!
Únase a nosotros el próximo domingo 25 de octubre de
2:00 a 3:30pm para orar y así acabar con el aborto provocado. Mostremos nuestro descontento y desaprobación
con el aborto a través de nuestra presencia. Con espíritu
de oración mostraremos carteles con mensajes como "El
Aborto Mata Niños" y "Jesús perdona y sana," vamos a
continuar siguiendo el mandamiento de nuestro Señor
para difundir sus enseñanzas a todos (Mateo 28:20), tanto
dentro y fuera de nuestras paredes de la iglesia. Por supuesto, nuestra posición no ha cambiado, pero nuestra
Iglesia sigue haciendo titulares cuando proclamamos tanto que el aborto es un grave mal moral y que Dios nos ha

buscan el perdón con un corazón contrito. Entre más seamos, menos nos puede ignorar el mundo a nosotros y los
pequeños que están siendo asesinados en el vientre de sus

JORNADA MUNDIAL DE LAS MISIONES

escrituras, leímos que San Pablo, les pidió a las gentiles
iglesias que realizaran una colecta para apoyar a la Iglesia de Jerusalén. Hoy en día, nos solicitan que apoyemos a las iglesias jóvenes de todo el mundo. 2015-2016 TOGETHER IN FAITH/BISHOP’’S
ANNUAL APPEAL BEGINS
Once a year, Bishop Ochoa asks all the parish families in
our diocese for their help in supporting the ministries and
services that touch all of us. He asks you to give in the
spirit of stewardship, with grateful hearts for the many
gifts you have received from God. This is an invitation
for our parish family to join the 88 other parishes of the
diocese in working together to meet the needs of our Diocesan Church. Funding is crucial to support seminarians
and vocations, catechetics, youth and young adult, and
family life ministries all for which ultimately benefit all
parishes. The ““Together In Faith”” theme emphasizes
the importance of all our individual families to work together in the support and spiritual enrichment of our
greater diocesan family. Also, again this year you are

from 5:00 to 9:00pm. There will be flu shots, children
immunizations, health screenings including Blood Sugar,
Cholesterol and Blood Pressure. Plus many other health
and educational programs and services.

The ushers are distributing the envelopes for All Souls
Day. Daily Masses will be offered for 9 days from November 2nd to the 10th. Please be sure to put the name
of your loved ones along with your donation on the envelope. Place the envelope in the collection basket on Saturday or Sunday or bring to the office.
Los ujieres están distribuyendo los sobres de los fieles
difuntos durante las misas. Será ofrecida una misa diaria
durante 9 días del 2 al 10 de noviembre. Favor de poner el
nombre de sus seres queridos junto con su donación en el
sobre y posteriormente ponerlo en la canasta de la colecta
el sábado o domingo o llevarlo a la oficina de la iglesia.
