Estos refrigeradores y freezer de nueva
generación, alimentados por Energía Solar,
pueden funcionar hasta tres días sin sol -en
situación de tormentas prolongadas- y aún
más días agregando baterías. El dato anterior
está basado en el uso de 1 ó 2 baterías con
carga regular.
El tamaño es ahora más funcional gracias a
un proceso de moderno rediseño al que han
sido sometidos estos aparatos.
Están disponibles tres modelos de
Refrigerador y otros tres de Freezer, con
capacidad en cada caso de 50 litros, 165
litros y 225 litros. La cantidad de paneles y de
baterías varía según el modelo.
Los sistemas incluyen panel solar,
controlador, banco de baterías, cables y un
set de montaje para los paneles. De manera
opcional se pueden adquirir baterías,
estructuras de montaje, gabinetes para las
baterías. Para el uso en lugares remotos y de
difícil reabastecimiento, se recomienda
disponer de baterías extra que puedan salvar
situaciones de emergencia.
Los refrigeradores solares trabajan en un
rango de temperatura de -1°C a 9°C, en tanto
que los freezer de -18°C a -5°C.
