Mission: Our mission is to prepare students to be successful, compassionate, productive citizens, learners and
thinkers who improve the world.
The Teacher Pledge:
We understand the importance of the school experience for every student and our role as educators and models.
Therefore, we agree to carry out the following responsibilities to the best of our ability:
! Provide a safe, positive, and healthy learning environment for all students.
! Encourage each student to take an active role in his/her learning.
! Provide high-quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment that
enables the participating children to meet the State’s student academic achievement standards as well
as addressing the individual needs of each student
! Monitor attendance and provide continuous communication with the parents regarding absences and
tardies.
! Provide meaningful homework on a daily basis to reinforce and extend learning and return corrected
with appropriate feedback in a timely manner.
! Communicate with you regarding your child’s academic progress through annual conferences and
written or oral communication
! Maintain accessibility and regular communication regarding child’s progress at any time throughout the
year
! Provide parents opportunities to volunteer and participate in their child’s class, and to observe
classroom activities
! Provide opportunities to share and train parents to support the academic goals and expectations of
their child as well as to make appropriate instructional decisions.

I realize that my education is important to me. I know that I am the one responsible for my own success.
Therefore I agree to carry out the following responsibilities to the best of my ability.
! Unless I am ill, I will arrive at school on time every day ready to learn.
! I will be a cooperative learner.
! I will ask questions when I don’t understand.
! I will work to meet grade level standards.

Every night I will be responsible for completing my homework and returning it to school the next day.
I will spend at least 30 minutes reading daily and limit the amount of television I watch.

The Parent Pledge:
I understand that my participation in my child’s education will help in his/her achievement and attitude.
Therefore, I will continue to carry out the following responsibilities to the best of my ability.
! I will encourage my child to be positive and take an active role in his/her learning.
! Communicate with the teacher and/or school to monitor my child’s academic progress in the content
standards. I will obtain information and assistance as necessary.
! I will encourage my child to treat all people and their property with respect.
! I will provide a quiet study place for my child, encourage completion of homework and ensure
homework is taken to school the next morning.
! I will spend at least 30 minutes each day reading with my child either in English or in our home
language and limit the amount of time television is watched.
! I will ensure that my child attends school on a daily basis, is well rested and ready to learn.
! I will attend all Parent Conferences, Back to School Night, and Open House as well as parent
workshops to help me support my child’s academic progress.
! I will participate in my child’s class by volunteering or conducting classroom visits and observations.
! I will attend meetings to be informed in order to make decisions relating to the education of my child.

como educadores y modelos.
Por lo tanto, nos comprometemos a llevar a cabo las siguientes responsabilidades lo mejor que podamos:
! Proveer un ambiente seguro, positivo y saludable de aprendizaje para todos los estudiantes.
