RESOLUTION ISSUING A PUBLIC PROCLAMATION CALLING
FOR A SCHOOL DISTRICT ELECTION
WHEREAS, 1-22-3.B. of the Election Code of the State of New Mexico, 1978 Compilation provides as follows:
“A school district election shall be held in each school district on the first Tuesday in February of each odd-numbered year.”
WHEREAS, the Los Alamos School Board, the governing body for the school district known as the Los Alamos
Public Schools (herein the “Board” and the “District” respectively), in the County of Los Alamos, State of New Mexico, has determined that a regular school district election be held on February 3, 2015, pursuant to Section 1-22-1
through 1-22-19, NMSA 1978.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LOS ALAMOS SCHOOL BOARD CONSTITUTING THE
GOVERNING BOARD OF SAID DISTRICT, IN THE COUNTY OF LOS ALAMOS AND STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. On the 3rd day of February 2015, there will be held within the District of the Los Alamos Public
Schools, in Los Alamos County, New Mexico, a regular school district election for the purpose of electing three (3)
members to the Board.
Section 2. Any resident of the district, who is a qualified elector of the State of New Mexico, is a resident of one
of the School Board Districts from which a member is to be elected, and who desires to become a candidate for the
office of member of the Board of the district, shall file a Declaration of Candidacy substantially in the form required
by Section 1-22-8, NMSA 1978, in the Office of the Los Alamos County Clerk, Los Alamos County Courthouse, Los
Alamos, New Mexico, on one day only, the third Tuesday in December, December 16, 2014, between 9:00 a.m. and
5:00 p.m.
Section 3. Any resident of the district who is a qualified elector of the State of New Mexico, is a resident of one
of the School Board Districts from which a member is to be elected, and who desires to become a write-in candidate
for the office of member of the Board of the district, shall file a Declaration of Intent to be a Write-in Candidate in
the Office of the Los Alamos County Clerk, Los Alamos County Courthouse, Los Alamos, New Mexico, before 5:00
p.m. on December 30, 2014.
A candidate for membership on the board may file an affidavit with the proper filling officer for the district in which
he/she is a candidate, withdrawing his/her candidacy in the election. The affidavit shall be filled before 5:00 p.m. on
December 30, 2014, being the thirty-fifth day before the date of the school district election. The county clerk shall
not place on the ballot the name of any person properly filing the affidavit of withdrawal, pursuant of Section 1-22-9,
NMSA 1978.
Section 4. The Board has previously adopted a Resolution by which members of the Board shall reside in and
be elected from single member districts, pursuant to Section 22-5-1.1., NMSA 1978. The Board positions, based
upon such district, and the length of terms for each position to be voted upon in this election are as follows:

Section 6. The polls for said election will be open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on the day of the
election.
Section 7. A person is a qualified elector of the district if he or she is a citizen of the United States, at least 18
years of age on the date of the election, and a resident of the district on the day of the election. In order to vote,
qualified electors of the district must have previously registered with the County Clerk of Los Alamos County in
accordance with law. Any qualified elector of the district who is not now registered and who wishes to vote at such
regular election must register during regular office hours at the Office of the County Clerk of Los Alamos County at
the County Courthouse in Los Alamos, New Mexico.
Voter registration for school district elections is closed at 5:00 p.m. on the 28th day immediately preceding the
election which is January 6, 2015.
Section 8.
Absentee/early voting will be permitted in the manner authorized by 1-6-1, et. seq., 1-22-19, NMSA
1978, provided that qualified electors may also vote absentee in person at the Office of the County Clerk of Los
Alamos County during the regular hours and days of business from 8:00 a.m. January 9, 2015 being the twenty-fifth
day preceding the election, until 5:00 p.m., January 30, 2015, being the Friday immediately prior to the date of the
election.
Electors may also vote by electronic voting machine from 8:00 a.m. on the twentieth day preceding an election, January 14, 2015, until 5:00 p.m. on the Friday immediately prior to the date of the election, January 30, 2015.
Section 9.
Voting and early voting shall be by voting machine, except for absentee voting which shall be by
paper ballot. At least one voting machine shall be used at the polling place for each voting district.
Section 10.
This Resolution shall be filed with the Los Alamos County Clerk on or before November 25, 2014.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of the Resolution duly adopted by the Los Alamos School Board
at the Regular Board Meeting held on November 20, 2014, at which meeting a quorum was present and a majority
voted in favor of the Resolution.

RESOLUTION AND PROCLAMATION OF
UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO – LOS ALAMOS BRANCH
COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT ELECTION
WHEREAS, the College Board of the University of New Mexico-Los Alamos Branch Community College District
(herein the “Board” and the “District” respectively), in the County of Los Alamos, has determined that a District
Election (herein collectively the “Election”) be held on February 3, 2015, in accordance with Sections 1-22-1 through
1-22-19 NMSA 1978, pursuant to the authority contained in Section 21-14-2 NMSA 1978; and
WHEREAS, the Board was elected, appointed and organized at a duly authorized meeting of the Los Alamos Public
School Board on February 27, 1987, pursuant to the authority of Section 21-14-2.1 NMSA 1978 and has served as
the governing body for the District from such date; and
WHEREAS, the board has determined that two positions on the Board are to be filled at the Election by submitting
to the qualified electors of the District the names of the candidates qualified to appear on the ballot for election to
such positions; and
WHEREAS, the persons who desire to fill such positions on the Board shall be required to file declarations of
candidacy or declarations of intent to be a write-in candidate, all in accordance with Sections 1-22-1 et seq., NMSA
1978;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO-LOS ALAMOS BRANCH COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT, CONSTITUTING THE GOVERNING BOARD OF SAID
DISTRICT, IN THE COUNTY OF LOS ALAMOS AND STATE OF NEW MEXICO;
Section 1. On the 3rd day of February 2015, there will be held in the University of New Mexico-Los Alamos Branch
Community College District, Los Alamos County, New Mexico, a regular district election for the purpose of submitting names of candidates for the positions to be filled in the Board to the qualified electors of the District.

Position 4, currently held by Stephen Boerigter, for a term starting March 1, 2015
Pursuant to Section 21-14-2.1 NMSA 1978, the candidate receiving the highest number of votes for a particular
position shall be elected to that position and shall serve a four year term.
Section 5. A declaration of candidacy for membership on the board to be filled at the Election shall be filed with the
County Clerk of Los Alamos County, the proper filing officer during the period commencing at 9:00 a.m., December
16, 2014, being the third Tuesday in December, and ending at 5:00 p.m. on the same day, pursuant to Section 1-22-7,
NMSA 1978.
Section 6. In making a declaration of candidacy, the candidate for membership on the Board shall submit a sworn
statement of intent in substantially the form provided in 1-22-8, NMSA 1978.
Section 7. A candidate for membership on the board may file an affidavit with the proper filing officer for the district in which he/she is a candidate, withdrawing his candidacy in the election. The affidavit shall be filed before 5:00
p.m. on December 30, 2014, being the thirty-fifth day before the date of the school district election. The county clerk
shall not place on the ballot the name of any person properly filing the affidavit of withdrawal, pursuant of Section
1-22-9, NMSA 1978.
Section 8. A person who desires to be a write-in candidate for membership on the board at such Election, shall file
with the county Clerk of Los Alamos County a declaration of intent to be a write-in candidate before 5:00 p.m. on
December 30, 2014, being the thirty-fifth day preceding the date of the Election.
Section 9. A person is a qualified elector of the district if he /she is a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years
of age on the day of the Election and a resident of the District on the day of the Election. In order to vote, qualified
electors of the district must have previously registered with the County Clerk of Los Alamos County in accordance
with laws. Any qualified elector of the District who is not now registered and who wishes to vote at such Election
should register during regular office hours prior to 5:00 p.m. on January 6, 2015 at the office of the County Clerk of
Los Alamos, New Mexico.
Section 10. Absentee/Early voting will be permitted in the manner authorized by 1-6-1 seq. 1-22-19, NMSA 1978,
provided that qualified electors may also vote absentee at the above referenced office of the County Clerk of Los
Alamos County during the regular hours and days of business from 8:00 a.m., January 9, 2015, being the twenty-fifth
day preceding the Election, until 5:00p.m., January 30, 2015, being the Friday immediately prior to the date of the
Election.
Electors may also vote by electronic voting machine from 8:00 a.m. on the twentieth day preceding an election,
January 14, 2015, until 5:00 p.m. on the Friday immediately prior to the date of the election, January 30, 2015.
Section 11. Voting/Early Voting shall be by paper ballot. At least one voting machine shall be used at the polling
place (Vote Center) for each Voting District.

PUBLICA REQUIRENDO UNA ELECCION PARA LAS ESCUELAS PUBLICAS
Aqui, 1-23-3. B. del codigo de Eleccion del Estado de Nuevo Mexico, la recopilacion de 1978 es como sigue:
“Una eleccion para las escuelas del distrito sera llevada al cabo del primer Martes de Febrero de cada ano
desigual.”
Aqui, el Consejo de las Escuelas de Los Alamos, el cuerpo gobernador para el Distrito Escolar conocido como
“las Escuelas Publicas de Los Alamos (de aqui adelante llamado el “Consejo” y el “Distrito” respectivamente) en el
Condado de Los Alamos, Estado de Nuevo Mexico, ha determinado que una eleccion regular del distrito escolar se
lleve a cabo el dia 3 de Febrero de 2015, tal como lo dicta la seccion 1-22-1 hasta 1-22-19, NMSA 1978.
AHORA, AQUI SE RESUELVE POR EL CONSEJO DE LAS ESCUELAS DE LOS ALAMOS EL CUAL CONSTRIULLE EL CUERPO GOBERNADOR DE DICHO DISTRITO, EN EL CONDADO DE LOS ALAMOS Y ESTADO

Seccion 1.
El dia 3 de Febrero de 2015, habra dentro del Distrito de las Escuelas Publicas en Los Alamos, en el
Condado de Los Alamos, Nuevo Mexico, una eleccion regular del distrito escolar para elejir tres (3) miembros al
consejo.
Seccion 2.
Cualquier residente del Distrito, quien sea un elector calificado del Estado de Nuevo Mexico, sea
residente de uno de los Distritos del Consejo Escolar de cual, algun miembro sea elejido y que desea ser candidato
para la oficina de Miembro del Consejo del Distrito debera de firmar la Declaracion de Candidatura en la forma que
se requiere por la Seccion 1-22-8, NMSA 1978, en la oficina de la Escribana del Condado, en la Oficina de Justicia
del Condado de Los Alamos, Los Alamos, Nuevo Mexico, en un dia nada mas, el tercer Martes de Diciembre, 16 de
Diciembre de 2014, dentro de las 9:00 de la manana y las 5:00 de la tarde.
Seccion 3.
Cualquier residente del Distrito quien sea un elector calificado del Estado de Nuevo Mexico, sea
residente de uno de los Distritos del Consejo Escolar de cual, algun miembro sea elejido y que desea ser Candidato
que sea firmar la Declaracion de Intento para que sea candidato escrito, en la Oficina del la Escribana del Condado,
en la Oficina de Justicia del Condado de Los Alamos, Los Alamos, Nuevo Mexico, antes de las 5:00 de la tarde el dia
30 de Diciembre de 2014.
Un candidato a calidad de miembro en el tablero puede archivar una declaración jurada con el oficial de relleno
apropiado para el districto en el cual él es un candidato, retirando su candidatura en la elección. La declaración
jurada será llenada antes del 5:00 P.M. el 30 de Diciembre de 2014, siendo el trigésimo quinto día antes de la fecha
de la elección del distrito escolar. El vendedor de condado no pondrá en la balota el nombre de ninguna persona que
archiva correctamente la declaración jurada del retiro, de conformidad de la sección 1-22-9, NMSA 1978.
Seccion 4.
El Consejo ha adoptado previamente una Resolucion la cual los miembros del Consejo deben residir y
ser elejidos de los distritos singulares, tal como dicta la Seccion 22-5-1.1., NMSA 1978. Las posiciones del Consejo,
son basadas en tal Distrito, el termino para cada posicion que sean votadas en esta eleccion asi como sigue:

Consejo Escolar de Los Alamos en la junta Regular del Consejo que tomo lugar el dia 20 de Noviembre de 2014, en
cual junta habia un quorum presente y la mayoria de los presente votaron en favor de la Resolucion.

Ademas, habra un Distrito para Votar en Ausencia establecido como dice 1-22-19, NMSA 1978 y como esta describido en Seccion 3. Enseguida.
Seccion 6.
Las urnas para dica eleccion permaneceran abiertas durante las horas de las 7:00 de la manana y 7:00
de la tarde, el dia de la eleccion.
Seccion 7.
La persona es un elector calificado del Distrito si el o ella son ciudadanos de los Estados Unidos, de
18 anos de edad el dia de la eleccion, y si es residente del Distrito el dia de la eleccion. Para poder votar, los electores
calificados del Distrito deben de haberse previamente registrado con la escribana del Condado, Condado de Los
Alamos tal como lo dice la ley. Cualquier elector del Distrito que no esta registrado y que desea votar en tal eleccion
regular debe registrarse durante las horas regulares del dia, en cual tiempo la Oficina de la Escribana del Condado,
del Condado de Los Alamos en la Oficina de Justicia en Los Alamos, Nuevo Mexico.
Elector restrasion para la eleccion de el districto escolar esta cerrado a las cinco de la tarde viente-ocho 28 antes de la
eleccion el dia 6 de Enero 2015.
Seccion 8.
El voto Ausente/temprano sera permitido en la manera autorizada por 1-6-1, et. seq., 1-22-19, NMSA
1978, provido que los electores calificados pueden votar ausente, en persona el la oficina de la Escribana del Condado, en el Condado de Los Alamos durante las horas regulares y los dias que permanese tal oficinia abierta de las 8:00
de la manana el dia 9 Enero de 2015, y cinco dias antes de la eleccion, hasta las 5:00 de la tarde, el dia 30 de Enero de
2015, siendo el Viernes imediatamente antes de la fecha de la eleccion.
Electores tambien pueden votar por maquina votadora en su distrito, durante los horas 8:00 de la manana y viente
dias antes de la eleccion el dia 14 enero de 2015 hasta las 5:00 de la tarde el Viernes antes de la eleccion el dia 30 de
enero de 2015.
Seccion 9.
La votacion y temprano votacion sera por maquina votadora, con excepcion de los votos en Ausencia
que sera por boleta de papel. Cuando menos habra una maquina para votar en cada una de las urnas electorales
para cada distrito.
RESOLUCION Y PROCLAMACION DEL COLEGIO
DE COMUNIDAD, DIVISION DE LOS ALAMOS DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE NUEVO MEXICO ELECCION
DEL DISTRITO
CONSIDERANDO QUE, la junta del Colegio de la Comunidad, Distrito de la Division de Los Alamos de la
Univeridad de Nuevo México (en la presente, “Junta del Colegio” y “Distrito del Colegio de la Comunidad”, respectivamente), en el Condado de Los Alamos, ha determinado que una Elección de Distrito (en la presente collectivamente, la “Elección”) se llevará a cabo el 3 de febrero de 2015, conforme a las Secciones 1-22-1 a 1-22-19 NMSA,
1978, conforme a la autoridad descrita en las Secciones 21-14-2 et seq.; y
CONSIDERANDO QUE, la Junta del Colegio fue elegida y organizada en una reunión autorizada de la Junta
Directiva de las Escuelas Públicas de Los Alamos el 27 de febrero de 1987, conforme a la autoridad descrita en la
Sección 21-14-2.1 NMSA 1978 y ha servido como el cuerpo gubernamental para el distrito desde la fecha antes
mencionada; y
CONSIDERANDO QUE, la Junta del Distrito ha determinado que se llenarán dos (2) posiciones en la elección
para la Junta del Colegio presentando a los electores calificados del distrito los nombres de los candidatos calificados
a aparecer en la papeleta electoral para elección a dichas posiciones; y
CONSIDERANDO QUE, las personas que deseén llenar las posiciones de la junta deberán someter declaraciones
de candidatura o declaraciones de intento a ser candidato por inserción escrita, todo conforme a las secciones 1-221, et. Seq., NMSA 1978;
AHORA, POR LO TANTO, LAS JUNTA DEL COLEGIO DE LA COMUNIDAD, DIVISION DE LOS ALAMOS
DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE NUEVO MEXICO EL CUAL CONSTITUYE LA JUNTA DE CONSEJO GOBERNANTE DE DICHO DISTRITO, EN EL CONDADO DE LOS ALAMOS Y EL ESTADO DE NUEVO MEXICO
RESUELVE:
Sección 1. El 3 de febrero de 2015, se llevará a cabo una elección regular del Distrito en el Colegio de la Comunidad, División de Los Alamos de la Universidad de Nuevo México, Condado de Los Alamos, Estado de Nuevo
México con el fin de presentar nombres de candidatos a la posición que será llenada en la Junta de Consejo a todos
los votantes calificados del Distrito.

Además, habrá un Distrito establecido para votantes ausentes según se expresa aquí, en la Sección 10 más adelante.
Sección 3. Los Centros de Votación en dicha Elección permanecerán abiertos entre las horas de las 7:00 a.m. y las
7:00 p.m. en el día de la elección.
Sección 4. En dicha Elección, los electores calificados del Distrito, a juicio llenarán las siguientes posiciones en el
consejo:
Posición 3, actualmente ocupada por Linda Hull, por un término comenzando el 1 de marzo de 2015
Posición 4, actualmente ocupada por Stephen Boerigter, por un término comenzando el 1 de marzo de 2015
Conforme a la sección 21-14-2.1 NMSA 1978, el candidato que reciba el mayor número de votos para una
posición, será elegido a esa posición y servirá el término de cuatro años.
Sección 5. Una declaración de candidatura para ser miembro de la Junta del Colegio deberá de ser llenada y presentada con el(la) Escribano(a) del Condado de Los Alamos, el official apropiado de registro, durante el periódo que
comienza a las 9:00 a.m., el 16 de diciembre de 2014, siendo esta fecha el tercer martes de diciembre, y que termina a
las 5:00 p.m. del mismo día, conforme a la Sección 1-22-7. NMSA 1978.
Sección 6. Al declarar la candidatura, el candidato que quiera ser miembro de la Junta del Colegio someterá una
delaración de intento jurada y por escrito en substancia con la forma que se da en 1-22-8, NMSA 1978.
Sección 7. Un candidato(a) a ser miembro de la Junta de Consejo deberá presentar una declaración jurada por escrito en la oficina del Escribano(a) del Distrito del cual el/ella es candidato(a) en caso de querer ser removido(a) de
la candidatura en la elección. La declaración jurada deberá de ser registrada antes de las 5:00p.m. el 30 de diciembre
de 2014, siendo éste el treintacincoavo día antes de la fecha de la elección del Distrito Escolar. El oficinista del condado no deberá incluir en la papeleta electoral el nombre de aquella persona que ha débidamente pedido por escrito su
retiro de la elección; esto de acuerdo a la sección 1-22-9, NMSA 1978.
Sección 8. Una persona que desea ser inscrito(a) como candidato(a) a última hora para ser miembro de la Junta
de Consejo, deberá de registrar una declaración de intención de ser un candidato con el Oficinista del Condado de
Los Alamos, antes de las 5:00 p.m. el 30 de diciembre de 2014, siendo éste el treintacincoavo día antes de la fecha de
la Elección.
Sección 9. Una persona está calificada como elector del Distrito, si él o ella es ciudadano(a) de los Estado Unidos, tiene por lo memos 18 años de edad en el día de la Elección y es residente del Distrito en la fecha de la Elección.
Para votar los electores calificados del Distrito deberán de haberse registrado previamente en el Condado de Los
Alamos de acuerdo a la ley vigente. Cualquier elector calificado del Distrito que no esté registrado ahora y que deseé
votar en dicha Elección debe registrarse durante horas regulares de oficina antes de las 5:00 p.m. del 6 de enero de
2015, en la oficina del Escribano del Condado de Los Alamos, New Mexico.
Sección 10. La votación en ausencia y/o temprana se permitirá conforme a las Secciones 1-6-1 seq.1-22-19,
NMSA, 1978, siempre y cuando el elector calificado pueda también votar en ausencia en la oficina anteriormente
mencionada del Escribano del Condado de Los Alamos durante días y horas regulares de oficina el 9 de enero de
2015 desde las 8:00 a.m., siendo éste el venticincoavo día antes de la Elección, hasta las 5:00 p.m. del 30 de enero de
2015, siendo éste el viernes immediato antes de la fecha de la Elección.
Electores pueden también votar electrónicamente desde las 8:00 a.m. en el veinteavo día antes de la elección, ó sea el
14 de enero de 2015, hasta las 5:00 p.m. en el viernes inmediatamento anterior a la fecha de elección, o sea el 30 de
enero de 2015.
Sección 11. La votación/votación temprana será por papeleta electoral. Por lo menos una máquina para votar
deberá de ser usada en los Centros de Registro del Votante (Centros de Votación) por cada el Distrito votante.
