Ciudades Reveladas 2° International Film Festival on the City
Presented by Contested_Cities
Ciudades Reveladas is an International Film and City Festival with main objective the
audiovidual exposal of the various perceptions and representation of the urban space. It focuses
on the architecture, the diversity of cultural expression, social movements, the contestation and
the conflicts what produce the territorial configuration and the new questions which arise in the
contextualisation of the city's transformation.
With this opportunity Ciudades Reveladas present their work in Madrid in collaboration with
CONTESTED_CITIES to share with you a selection of Latin-American documentaries that deal with
diverse urban phenomena. This collaboration contributes to the establishment of a critical
interdisciplinary dialogue, extending the ties amongst groups who seek to visualise the social and
urban effects of the prevailing neoliberal system.
Supported by the International CONTESTED_CITIES Conference, Ciudades Reveladas will screen
two documentaries on a daily basis at the cultural space of Cineteca at Matadero, the Centre for
Contemporary Creation.
