Freedom from Pornography (for men)
Admit you don’t have control over this
problem, resolve to get well and seek help;
♦ Think and evaluate your home and work
environment. Are there any triggers to porn in
those places? Take measures to remove them
immediately;
♦ Think and evaluate the friends and places that
you frequently find yourself outside of home and
work. Assess whether they are contributing to the
vice of porn. If so, take measures to remove or
replace them in your life;
♦ Pray, pray, pray! Develop a daily prayer
life. Seek God’s forgiveness and grace when you
fall to your sin. Avail yourself of these graces daily
by praying the rosary, reading the Bible, fasting,
and frequenting the sacraments of Reconciliation
(as often as is necessary) and Eucharist;

REFLECTION ON THE READINGS Third Sunday of Easter (April 14th) Acts 2:14.22‐28 Ps 16:1‐2.5.7‐11 1Pe 1:17‐21 Lk 24:13‐35 St. Peter, speaking to the Jews, says to them: “You, by means of lawless men, killed him on a cross.” It is easy to elude our moral responsibilities and to place the blame on evil doers. Who incites his neighbor to do evil? We all have a bit of blame by omission or commission, all, because as a result of original sin and our personal sins, we contribute to Christ’s death. With this admission, we should place all our love, our faith and hope in God because by Christ’s death and resurrection we have been rescued, redeemed. We have died with Christ, but we shall also resurrect with Him. We participate already in this world, as the first fruits, of Christ’s resurrection, especially when we receive the Eucharist, but also when we are in grace, in prayer and in hope because the resurrection of our bodies at the end of time is a sign of the resurrection to grace and its increase by means of prayer and the sacraments. The disciples of Emmaus recognized Christ because of the way that he broke bread (Lk 24:35), that is, in the way Jesus loved and gave himself to them. They understood the resurrected Jesus because, in some way, they had resurrected with Him and in Him to the spiritual life. What is or what are those characteristic signs by which we can recognize, without a doubt, the resurrected Christ? The form of love that Christ bestows on us as a gift when we pray, when we have the willingness to receive Him, when we also offer ourselves with generosity, when we help others, when we forgive, etc. It is then when we recognize Christ resurrected in the other and in oneself because the Lord gives Himself to us as life, as resurrection, as eternal nourishment so as to resurrect a little each day in Him until the fullness of our resurrection is achieved.
