Article 28 of the Federal Administrative Procedure Law establishes that all administrative activities
and procedures should be carried out only during working days, stating that, weekends should not be
considered working days as well as the 1st of January, 5th of February, 21st of March, 1st and 5th of
May, 1st and 16th of September, 20th of November, the 1st of December of every six years, when the
transition of the executive federal power takes place, as well as the 25th of December.
Furthermore, the days that the competent authority has general vacation, or suspension of labor
days, they should be considered as non-working days, and should be made public through
a publication on the Federal Official Gazette (DOF) by the head of the corresponding Authority.
In accordance with the foregoing, on the 15th of December of 2014, Mr. Juan Jose Guerra Abud
Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources published on the DOF the non-working day’s for
December of 2014 and all 2015, as follows:
1. December 2014: 22, 23, 24, 25, 26,29, 30 y 31
2. Year 2015
a) 1,2,5 y 6 de enero
b) 2 y 5 de febrero
c) 16 de marzo
d) 2 y 3 de abril
e) 1 y 5 de mayo
f) 16 de septiembre
g) 2, 16 y 20 de noviembre
With the purpose of providing legal security and certitude to the people, with ongoing administrative
procedures at the Environment and Natural Recourses Secretary’s office, as well at its administrative
units, the referred non-working days will not be counted towards corresponding term for the said
procedures.
