ONOR OUR PARISH PATRON: by contributing to the second collection this weekend at all Masses. Share your treasure with this parish dedicated to him as generously as he has during these past 142 years. C HANK YOU: to the Rosary, Holy Name and St. Anthony Society for donating the Bread and Wine which will become the Body and Blood of Christ at all Masses during the week of April 3rd. ONGRATULATIONS: to Sister Filippa Luciano on being honored by The Mary Louis Academy this past Friday. She lives in our Convent, is a lector at Sunday Mass and creates the Christmas/Easter plant designs for our Church. She graduated from Mary Louis which she now serves as both a teacher and Assistant Principal. May God bless her and this school which helped her become the woman of faith she is today and where she presently helps young women to do the same. T P T HE GROUNDHOG WAS WRONG: winter is still here. There will be Second Collection to pay for heating our parish buildings at all Masses next weekend, April 9th and 10th. Fuel Oil is now $ 3.60 a gallon and our boilers are very thirsty. Our monthly budget payments for all four buildings was about $2,400.00 dollars; now they total $12,000.00 dollars. To heat or not to heat - that is the question. Only you have the answer. W EEKLY PARISH SUPPORT: totaled $1,601 dollars this past weekend. On the same weekend last year it totaled $1,628.00 dollars. This small decrease of $27.00 dollars may not seem like much but here every penny counts. St. Rita’s collection last weekend was $3,526.00 dollars, St. Mary’s was $ 1,637.00 dollars and Most Precious Blood was $8,101.00 dollars. Either our weekly collections increase or your next set of parish support envelopes may be coming from St. Rita’s, St. Mary’s or Most Precious Blood. C ATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES: benefited from your donations at all Masses last weekend which totaled $510.00 dollars. The sacrificial offerings of those faithful few who regularly support these special collections truly reflects the serious obligation all Roman Catholics have to imitate the charity of Jesus Himself.
