The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul
Cathedral of Guadalupe’s St. Vincent de Paul Society helps the
needy within our parish boundaries. When an individual or
family requests assistance in paying rent, utilities or other necessities, two members of the Society visit their homes and determine
their need. They and the entire group then discuss the case at the weekly
meeting and decide how to address their immediate financial need and
work with the family to improve their life situation. The group also has
access to a nearby food pantry for supplying food to those in need. Volunteers are also needed for support of our members including communications, computer, and organizational tasks. Roe Memorial Events, January 16, 2016: Join Bishop Farrell and thousands of North Texas faithful in marking the
43rd anniversary of the tragic January 22, 1973 Roe v. Wade
U.S. Supreme Court decision, which made abortion available
on demand in America. The theme of this year's events is
"SPEAK LIFE to this present darkness" and the schedule
of events is as follows:
10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Roe Memorial Rosaries outside the
Southwestern abortion facility, 8616 Greenville Ave., Dallas. (Parking available on Boundbrook Ave. and Gaston
Christian Center parking lot, 8515 Greenville) and Planned
Parenthood abortion facility, 7989 West Virginia Dr, Dallas (street parking available)
11:30 a.m. Concert for Life at the KBH Convention Center

convention center (after Mass) to the ecumenical Rally outside the Earle Cabell Federal Courthouse featuring Bishop
Kevin Farrell, Dr. Tony Evans of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, Mariana Schroeder of Respeto a la Vida de Fort Worth
and former abortion facility worker Jewels Green.
Bishop Farrell would like for as many families and young people as
possible to participate in this great witness for Life! Everyone is encouraged to ride DART Rail - the most convenient transportation
directly to the convention center station! Volunteers are needed,

Con mucho gusto les anunciamos que los
grupos de la cocina han agregado unos
nuevos platos a su menú. Además de la
comida deliciosa que siempre sirve, ahora
ofrecen pancakes, huevos revueltos, tocino y salchichas, hot dogs, hamburguesas con papita
fritas, pizza, avena y fruta. Los invitamos a disfrutar de
la comida y compartir en comunidad.
Grupo de Jóvenes Adolescentes
El grupo de jóvenes adolescentes de grados 8 a 12 se
reúne cada sábado para la Misa de 5:00 p.m. a las 4:30
y inmediatamente después se reúne en el gran salón para divertirnos, dialogar y compartir nuestra fe.
