Altar for All Souls Day
In honor of All Souls Day we will be setting up an altar in the
vestibule of the church. Please bring a picture of your loved
one that has passed away, so it can form part of this
beautiful tradition. You may leave the
picture in the church office or give it to Lupe
Gutierrez. The picture must be no bigger
than 3 X 4 in.

En honor a el Día de los muertos se
levantara un altar en la entrada de la iglesia, por favor traiga
una fotografía de su ser querido fallecido, para que forme
parte de esta bonita tradición, puede dejar la fotografía en
la oficina o entregarla a Lupe Gutierrez. La foto debe ser de
3 X 4 pulgadas o menos.
October the Month of the Rosary
We will pray the rosary before every weekend
mass during the month of October. Saturday4:30 PM, Sunday- 8:30 AM & 12:00 PM.
Our pilgrimage to the Holy Land with Fr. Fernando is
scheduled for May 23rd through June 1st of 2017. An
information night is scheduled for Sunday night, October
16th at 7PM in the youth room of the FLC. We will be
distributing brochures and providing all the details about the
upcoming Pilgrimage. You may also go to the website that
Catholic Heritage Tours has set up specifically for St. Frances
Cabrini parish and this private pilgrimage by going to

21st Annual Fr. Costigan Charity Golf
Tournament
The Tournament is scheduled for October 17th at
Harbor Lakes Country Club. The cost is $90.00 per
person and includes green fees, cart, driving range balls and
Barbeque lunch at the FLC after the tournament. For

Living Rosary
On October 23 at 11:15 AM, the students of St. Frances
Cabrini will perform a living Rosary at the back of the
Religious Education Building. All parishioner and parents are
invited to attend.
Rosario de Vida
El 23 de octubre a las 11:15 AM, los estudiantes de St.
Frances Cabrini llevaran a cabo un Rosario de Vida en la
parte de atrás del Edificio Educacional. Todos los

Young Adult Ministry
All young adults, ages 18 (high school grad) through 35 are
invited to participate in Journey. Journey meets on some
Monday evenings to discuss the upcoming Sunday gospel
reading. Other weeks the group goes to Ft. Worth to
participate in Theology on Tap (TOT) and Young Catholic
Professionals (YCP). TOT and YCP bring together young
adults from around the diocese to explore our Catholic faith
and learn how to live our Catholicism every day. For more

29th Sunday in Ordinary Time ~ XXIX Domingo en Tiempo Ordinario
World Mission Sunday
Next week, we will celebrate World Mission Sunday. Its theme
this year is “Mercy Changes the World.” Pope Francis invites
the entire Church to support the young mission dioceses in
Africa, Asia, the Pacific Islands, and parts of Latin America and
Europe, where priests, religious and lay leaders serve some of
the poorest of the poor. Please keep the Missions in your
prayers and be generous in next week’s collection for the
Society of the Propagation of the Faith.
Domingo Mundial de las Misiones
La próxima semana celebraremos el Domingo Mundial de las
Misiones. El tema este año es “La Misericordia Cambia al
Mundo.” El Papa Francisco invita a toda la iglesia a apoyar a las
diócesis jóvenes misioneras de África, Asia, las Islas del Pacifico
y algunas partes de Latinoamérica e Europa, en donde
sacerdotes y líderes religiosos y laicos sirven a algunos de los
más pobres. Por favor incluyan a Las Misiones en sus oraciones
y sean generosos con la colecta de la próxima semana para la
Sociedad para la Propagación de la Fe.
Youth Ministry in Need of Help
Our Youth Ministry is in need of 1 or 2 catechists for 8th
grade. The class currently has too many youth and will be
split to make 2 classes. We also need adult aides and helpers
for Wednesday evenings. Please call Erica Espinoza at the
office, 817-326-2131, if you are interested. We are still
asking parents to sign up and volunteer at least one
Wednesday throughout the year.

World Youth Day North Texas Will be at Levitt Pavilion in
Arlington on Sunday November 6th 2-9pm. Families, children
and youth are invited to attend. Cost is $30. There will be
Mass with Bishop Olson, Activities, Food Trucks and a

Safe and Sacred
The Fort Worth Diocese has recently changed the Safe
Environment Program to Safe and Sacred. This program can
only be accessed by a computer, phone or ipad. If you are
new, please call Denise Hall at 817-326-2131 and directions
will be emailed to you. A postcard will be sent out to all that
are in need of renewal. If you do not have a computer, a
computer in the church office will be available to you.

New Parish Directory
Our church is going to publish a new pictorial directory
through Lifetouch. Reserve your appointment time in the
Narthex of the church. Sign-ups will be held after Saturday &
Sunday Masses during the month of October. Each family
that comes in for a photography and portrait viewing at the
church will receive a complimentary directory and an 8 X 10
color portrait. You will be able to view and select your
portraits electronically from a variety of poses. Additional
Lifetouch portraits will be available for purchase. Your entire
appointment will normally take less than one hour. The
directory will not be complete without you! Volunteers are
needed to help with the directory, you may also sign up
after masses. Thank You for your consideration.

"...the necessity of praying always and not losing
heart." —Luke 18:1
Jesus teaches us in today's parable to pray in
perseverance for our needs (Lk 18:1). Elsewhere in
Scripture, Jesus reveals more about how to pray
always with perseverance and power:

Pray by listening to God (Lk 10:38-42).
Pray in a love-relationship with "Abba" (Mt
6:9; Gal 4:6).
Pray with faith. Jesus is always looking for
faith (Lk 18:8).
Pray without ever losing heart, that is, not
growing weary and not going through the
motions of prayer (Lk 18:1).
Pray the words of Scripture (2 Tm 3:16).
Praying the Word of God has powerful force (Jn
10:35).
Pray in confident power with others (Mt
18:19-20; Acts 4:24-31; Ex 17:8-13).
"Pray in the Spirit" (Eph 6:18) using the
spiritual gift of tongues. The Holy Spirit
directly intercedes through us in tongues and
helps us in our weakness (Rm 8:26).
Pray without ceasing (1 Thes 5:17).
Observe a young couple in love. They spend
day after day in each other's presence without
growing weary of each other. Therefore, ask
Jesus to give you a new heart (Ez 36:26) and
open it to receive the love He is pouring out
through the Holy Spirit (Rm 5:5). Then your
prayer will grow in love instead of growing
