Parameter Summary – Brakes
Parameter Summary
This report provides European Market Intelligence in the “Brakes”
parameter of FITSA.
“Braking system consists of mechanical and hydraulic components that work
together to reduce the speed or stop a vehicle.”
Most common braking system is the hydraulic braking system.
“The function of a hydraulic braking system commences from the pedal input by
the driver. Based on this, the master cylinder and the brake booster develop the
braking pressure by pressurizing the hydraulic fluid in the master cylinder. Then
the pressurized fluid is transferred to the brake callipers located at the wheels,
which is done with the help of hydraulic lines. The length of the hydraulic lines
varies with the size of the vehicle and the design of the braking system.”
