THANK YOU FROM DIOCESAN YOUNG
MEN’S HIGH SCHOOL RETREAT
Thank you to Fr. Doug, Fr. Antonio, Kevin Cooney,
and the St. Thomas Parishioners for hosting the
annual Diocesan Young Men’s High School Retreat.
Your generous spirit and wonderful facility were
greatly appreciated. Fr. David Carter, Deacon Dan
Hosford, Dan Miles and John Merrill led the retreat
which was scripture based, focused on True Strength,
and how God calls each one of us to greatness! We
had young men and youth ministers from Johnson
City, Morristown, Chattanooga, KCHS and Oak Ridge
to mention a few. We would also like to thank the
following sponsors who contributed financially:
Lenoir City Ford, Dr. Randy Robbins TOC, Dr. Dan
Startup DDS, Lenoir City Valley Excavating and Lenoir
City Zaxby’s who offers 10% discount on Sundays
with bulletin. Special thanks to the Knights of
Columbus for the great breakfast Saturday morning
of the retreat!
St. Thomas’ AFF presents a FAMILY SEDER MEAL
SAVE THE DATE: Sunday, May 31, 2015, @ 4 PM
All are invited to participate
COME TO THE TABLE
We just completed Lent and heard the scripture
readings on Holy Thursday, Jesus’ Last Supper. What
was the meal that Christ had with His Apostles on the
night before he was crucified on the cross? Jesus was
a Jew who on the night before He died celebrated His
Passover Seder Meal. We know it as the Last Supper,
which was the First Mass! The St. Thomas parish
family will celebrate a Seder Meal, which will focus
upon the Passover as the prep for the Holy Sacrifice
of the Mass. This is a parish wide event that will help
us all have a deeper knowledge of our Faith. The
Seder Meal is a connection between the Jewish
Passover and the Catholic Mass; a meal and a
sacrifice. We are taking this opportunity to gain a
deeper understanding of Jesus and His Jewish roots in
celebrating both the Seder Meal and the Mass. We
would like to have a wonderful large crowd of curious
Catholics for this event, so mark your calendar.
Registration forms available in the narthex
COME GET YOUR PARISH DIRECTORY!
If you had your picture taken for the directory, you may
pick up your copy in the Parish Office during the week.
The Parish Office is open Monday-Friday from 9am4pm; closed for lunch from 12pm-12:30pm. On the
third Wednesday of each month, we are closed from
12pm-2pm for staff meeting.
Thank you to everyone that helped make this project
successful!

a
