SPIRITUAL PARENTING
We continue to meet on Sunday mornings at
10:15 AM in the School Library. This new program
is meant to teach parents how to build a spiritual
foundation in their children’s lives; PERFECT FOR
PSR PARENTS. The end goal of this study is a vibrant faith that is passed on from one generation to
another.
LUNCH AND LEARN-Halloween Edition
We will gather on Thursday, October 30 at
12:30 PM in the Adult Education Room to continue
our study on Becoming More than a Good Bible
Study Person. You are invited to uncover the spiritually exciting life you long for. Come enjoy a fancy
Halloween lunch.
CATHOLIC BOOK CLUB
Remember to sign up for our parish program—the Elijah
Cup. Praying for vocations is a responsibility and privilege of
the laity. We always need more families, couples, and individuals to pray for vocations. For more information, please
contact Ed Schafer at
(770)427-2928 or [email protected].
The Teverino Family and Dick and Pauline Bomeisl
will take the cup home this week.
The Winckler Family and the McGuiness Family
will take the cup home next week.
The Altar Server Ministry is open to young
parishioners who are in at least 4th Grade and
have received the Sacraments of Baptism and
Holy Communion. This year's training will be
held in the church on three consecutive Sunday
evenings: October 26, November 2 and
November 9, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM (after the Life
Teen Mass). Attendance at all three sessions is ideal, as
different sections of the Mass are covered at each session. There will also be a brief parents meeting during
the final session on November 9 at 6:45 PM.
For further information, contact Mark Bielak at
(770)432-8356 or [email protected].
Please read The Screw Tape Letters
by C.S. Lewis. We will meet on Monday, November
3 at 7:00 PM in the School Library to discuss this
famous satirical book about a master devil mentoring a young devil on how to successfully tempt human beings into a sinful way of life. See you there!
SMALL CHURCH COMMUNITY STUDIES
We have begun our meetings but will gladly open
our doors to a new member or two. Please contact
Tina Harding [email protected] if you
haven’t yet joined a small group study. If you are
new to our parish, this is a great way to get connected to people in your neighborhood and your
church.

36 care packages were shipped to our Troops from our
October collection. Thank you to all for your very generous donations, to those who volunteered, to Saint
Joseph’s schoolchildren for their greeting cards, and to
the parishioners who took the time to write a note in
the cards. A generous supply of Christmas cards were
sent for the troops to use to send to their loved ones.
Our next collection is in February.
Please keep them in your prayers

PSR is pleased to announce that we
will be participating in Operation
Christmas Child. This worthy
program has become a pre-Advent
tradition for our students. Your preschool through eight grade PSR student
should have brought home a brochure explaining
the program. The deadline for returning completed
“shoebox” gifts is Sunday, November 16 or
Wednesday, November 19. Completed gifts can
be returned to your child’s PSR class. There will be
a collection box in the Narthex on Saturday, November 15 and Sunday, November 16. If you did not
receive a brochure, they are available in the Narthex by the Operation Christmas Child poster. To
learn more about OCC please visit
www.samaritanspurse.org . Every shoebox gift we
pack helps Samaritan’s Purse to reach children
worldwide with the good news of God’s love and the
true meaning of Christmas! Thanks in advance for
your prayers and participation. Let’s try to beat last
year’s total of 503 “shoebox” gifts.

20 y 21 de septiembre - Life Teen Hispano
Damos gracias especiales a nuestra Pastor
Mons. Walsh, P. Guyma, Dc. Trini,
Hna.
Sacramento
durante este tiempo. Que Dios los bendiga!
