La hora de aprender (Time to learn)
La hora de aprender es un programa educativo de 30
semanas para niños de 0 a 6 años de edad y sus familias.
Los niños aprenderán letras, números, colores, formas, y
mucho más de una manera divertida a través de la lectura,
escritura, conversación, cantos y juegos. Este programa
gratuito concluye con una graduación y certificados para los
niños participantes. Regístrese en cualquiera de las

How to 3D Print Your Minecraft Creations
Do your parents or teachers give you a hard time about
playing too much Minecraft? Come learn how to 3D print the
stuff you make in Minecraft and next time just say, "I'm
designing parts for 3D printing!" In this session, OpenFab
PDX will give you an overview of the tools you can use, pass
around some printed Minecraft models, and offer help and
feedback while you “work” in Minecraft.

Juba This and Juba That: A Collection of African
American Folktales
Storytelling plays a huge role in the culture of both Africans
and African Americans. In this presentation, Chetter
Galloway uses animation, sound effects and audience
participation to perform a potpourri of fun-filled stories from
the African diaspora. It includes amazing animal adventures
and trickster tales, as well as stories of courage, wisdom and
perseverance. Experience the rich folklore of African
Americans through these stories and how they assist with
teaching character development. These engaging tales not
only entertain, but they also educate listeners about the
important role of storytellers in preserving history.

Symphony Storytime
The Oregon Symphony is on the road for interactive, musical
storytimes. This series focuses on books, music,
instruments, sound and fun. Each week features a visit from
an Oregon Symphony musician who will play and provide an
introduction to his or her instrument and orchestral music.

de alegría. Paint your own edible sugar skull and dedicate it
to an ancestor or loved one. Why sugar? Throughout
Mexico, Day of the Dead is a celebration of joyful
remembrance, and the sweetness of sugar reminds us of
joy.

Paint Your Own Van Gogh
You needn’t have painting experience to emulate techniques
of the masters, especially the clean lines and bold colors of
modern art. Vincent van Gogh’s art is notable for deep
colors, clear brushstrokes and a sense of movement. In this
guided workshop, learn acrylic paint skills and a little art
history while creating your own version of Van Gogh’s iconic
landscapes. Leave with a completed 11x14-inch canvas and
introductory skills in color mixing, composition and layering.
