TWELFTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
DECIMOSEGUNDO DOMINGO EN TIEMPO ORDINARIO
The last two weeks’ Gospel readings have focused on the reasons why
the Lord Jesus comes among us: to save the sinner and to call those
same sinners into discipleship. This week, the Lord tells his disciples—and
us—that this road of salvation and discipleship is not an easy one. We will
be faced with hardships. In a society that often values the accumulation of
wealth above all else, it is simply very hard to say “no” to that mentality
and live lives as good stewards of all God’s gifts. We will suffer inner
divisions. Others will fail to recognize the value we place on love of
neighbor above all else. Even in the midst of hardship, Saint Paul reminds
us that the grace of God and the gracious gift that is Jesus Christ will
overflow for us. Let today’s scriptures both challenge us and offer us hope
and grace.

Monday, June 23
El evangelio de las últimas dos semanas se han enfocado en el porqué el
Señor Jesús ha venido a nosotros: para salvar al pecador y para llamar a
aquellos pecadores a ser discípulos suyos. Esta semana, el Señor les
dice a sus discípulos y también a nosotros que ese camino de la salvación
y discipulado no es fácil. Nos encontraremos con momentos difíciles. En
una sociedad que frecuentemente valora la acumulación de bienes
materiales y riquezas, antes que cualquier otra cosa, es simplemente muy
difícil decirle “no” a esa mentalidad y vivir vidas de buenos servidores de
los dones dados por Dios. Sufriremos divisiones internas. Necesitamos
reconocer como san Pablo que la gracia de Dios y que el don maravilloso
de Jesús se desbordarán por cada uno de nosotros. Dejemos que las
escrituras de hoy entren en nuestro corazón y nos cambien nuestra
manera de pensar y sentir.

delayed until after the 7:00PM Mass is finished. Our Lady of Perpetual Help is
being honored. Please come. Public rosary will be prayed at 6:30. Scheduled
Eucharistic adoration will resume after Mass and the blessing are completed.

Attention! Parents of CCD Students
Our ANNUAL REGISTRATION for CCD Classes is scheduled Monday through
Thursdays, 1:30 – 5:00, and also Wednesdays 7pm-8:30pm and will run until
August 1st. Enrollment during this time is necessary for you to be assured of
space availability for 1st to 12th Grade. Baptismal and 1st Communion
Certificates must be presented and the Annual Tuition must be paid in full at
the time of enrollment. Tuition for one child yearly is $80. Each additional child in
the immediate family is $20. If tuition is paid before June 30th, the tuition for the
first child will be $70. Children should be enrolled in formal Catholic Faith learning
either at a Catholic School, or Parish Catechism Classes. As parents, we have an
obligation to our children to ensure our children receive lifelong Faith formation.

CATESISMO son de Lunes a Jueves de la 1:30p.m. a las 5:00p.m. y también
los miércoles de 7:00p.m. a las 8:30p.m. hasta el día 1o. de Agosto. Inscriba a
sus hijos en las clases del Catecismo durante este periodo de tiempo. Es muy
importante anotar a sus hijos, de esta forma se asegura espacio para todos.
Cuando traiga su niño a registrar, traiga consigo la Fe de Bautismo y también el
Certificado de Primera Comunión si ya la hizo y la cuota anual para un niño es de
$80.00. Cada niño adicional en la familia (hermanos/hermanas) es de $20. Si
inscribe a su hijo antes del 30 de Junio, el precio por el primer niño será $70.
Todos los niños de la Parroquia deberían ser registrados en las clases formales
del Catecismo. Como padres responsables, debemos proporcionar a nuestros

.Adult Faith Formation
The Adult Faith Formation Office would like to offer a Women’s Bible Study to meet once a week in the morning, September through May. Babysitting will be available for
a small sum. If you are interested in planning and/or participating in this program, please call Therese Frank at 972-259-1832 ext. 238.
THIS WEEK’S ADULT FAITH ACTIVITIES ARE:
English Bible Study Every Sunday, 9:15 – 10:45 am (Adult Faith Formation/Family Life Center)
St. Paul Reading Group Consider joining our study of Paul and his Letters as a way to celebrate the Year of St. Paul. We will meet on the first Tuesday of each month,
10:30 – Noon, September through May. Call the Adult Faith Formation office to sign up.
RCIA/RICA – For anyone interested in becoming Catholic, a new series of classes for adults has begun. These classes also prepare Catholic adults to receive the
Sacraments of Confirmation and First Communion. Come to the Family Life Center every Thursday evening, from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. For English come to ‘Mother Teresa’;
for Spanish, come to ‘Juan Diego’. The topic for June 26 will be “How Does God Speak to Us?” Call the Adult Faith Formation office to enroll, or just come to the class.

EVER DREAM OF ADOPTING A CHILD
You are invited to attend an informative and educational session given by the Maternity and Adoption Program of Catholic Charities of Dallas. Two programs are available
to suit your adoption desire. The Infant Adoption program is an adoption service for families wanting to adopt an infant and look forward to building their family through
open adoption. The Finally Home program strives to place older children that are eagerly waiting for a place to finally call home. This program is a collaborative effort with

The Kenosis gathering room is in the Family Life Center (the John Paul II room).
Kenosis is getting ready for our Youth Lock-In this year, September 19th and 20th. We are currently looking for people, mostly adults, to assist with the preparations!
Join us June 25th in the Thomas Aquinas Rm of the Family Life Center from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM to discuss the details!
The youth are getting very excited to begin many programs for this summer period, to continue throughout the school year as well. However, in order to do this according
to Safe Environment regulations, we need more cleared adults to monitor the youth during these activities. If you would like to help or know of anyone that might like to
