B REURE Netherlands Centre for Biodiversity Naturalis, P.O. Box 9517, NL-2300 RA Leiden, The Netherlands; [email protected] [corresponding author] Some corrections and several additions are presented to the Bibliography of Cuban terrestrial Mollusca, including related and biohistorical papers on Cuban malacology (Breure & González-Guillén, 2010). Some reactions by colleagues now allow us to provide some additional papers, to add some recent ones, and to make a few corrections. We also have included some popular scientific papers that may otherwise remain unnoticed with regard to Cuban land snails. A DDITIONS ( UNTIL M ARCH 2011) Key words: Gastropoda, Cuba, bibliography. I NTRODUCTION The extremely rich biodiversity of land snails on Cuba is well-documented in a vast literature base that, however, is poorly accessible due to the limited distribution of Cuban scientific papers. Recently, we have provided a bibliography on all papers known to us (Breure & González-Guillén, 2010). In this report we concluded “Although we have based ourselves on different sources and cross-checked as much as possible, this paper will contain errors like dating, spelling and alphabetization. We are aware that this compilation is evidently incomplete and additional references may be found. Nevertheless we hope that it will further our knowledge on the highly diverse malacofauna of this island”. AIKEN, S., 2009. R EMARKS AND CORRECTIONS 1) Although our bibliography is limited to terrestrial Mollusca, some papers are included that treat taxa which are considered terrestrial species by some, and marine ones by others. This is e.g. the case with the genus Truncatella and relates to p. 16: Clench & Turner (1948a, b), but also to the reference of Kobelt, 1908, mentioned above. 2) Some references of the same author unfortunately have been arranged under different names (e.g. Fernández Milera, J. and Milera, J.F. on page 18 and 25 respectively). This is due to the Spanish habit of having a double last name (father’s and mother’s), and sometimes quoting only the father’s, sometimes both, and sometimes the two connected by a hyphen. 3) p. 20: The correct reference to Henderson (1912) is: HENDERSON, J.B., 1912. A day’s collecting at Antilla, Cuba. – The Nautilus 26: 2-3. 4) p. 21: Henderson & Torre, 1911 should be: HENDERSON, J.B. 1911. An incident in Cuban collecting. – The Nautilus 25: 49-51. 5) p. 25: The complete reference for Mesa, R., 1980: … – Ciencias Biológicas 4: 113-114. 6) p. 29: Pruna, P.M., 1996. 7) p. 33: Delete Torre, A. de la, 1929 and 1932 (should be Torre, C. de la, 1929b and 1932). 8) p. 34: Delete the record of Walter, M. & E. Naranjo, 1991. Same record as Miller, W.B. & E. Naranjo-Garcia, 1991 on p. 25.
