~STEWARDSHIP THANK YOU~
Thank you to all of you who have answered the stewardship appeal, for your prayers and for your active participation and financial support of St. Eugene’s. As your pastor it
is tremendously moving to hear from so many parishioners.
For our part, the Pastoral Council, the Finance Council and
the Parish Staff join with me in assuring you that we are
committed to being wise stewards in prudently managing
the financial affairs of the parish. May God bless each member of our faith family. Fr. Frank Epperson
~KRINGLES CHRISTMAS TREE REBATES~
Buy your tree at Kringle’s Korner Christmas Trees at the
Wells Fargo Center and earn a 15% rebate for St. Eugene’s.
Green rebate cards are in the pews and vestibules. Turn in
the card to Kringle’s when you buy your tree. If you don’t
have a card or forget to take a card with you, just tell your

help offset the cost of church Christmas greenery. Thanks for
your support.

SPIRITUAL ACTIVITIES
~RELIC PRESENTATION CANCELLED~
The Treasures of the Church Exposition of Sacred Relics,
scheduled for this Tuesday, December 8th, has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts. Please spread the word
to any friends or family who may have been thinking of
attending. We hope to re-schedule at a later date.
~THE HOLY DOOR~
The Celebration of the Jubilee Year of Mercy announced by
Pope Francis, begins on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. The
Year of Mercy can be a time of great grace for all of us. During special Jubilee Years, members of the faithful are encouraged to pass through a Holy Door, such as the one in Rome,
because it represents a pilgrimage for each of us, reminding
us of the journey that we make in this life. There is a “Holy
Door” at St. Eugene’s, which is reserved for occasions such
as this. Although there are a number of churches within the
diocese that have been designated as pilgrimage sites, the
Cathedral will be the only venue within our diocese with a
Holy Door through which Pilgrims may pass during this
Jubilee year. Please join us at the 8:00 am Mass, Dec. 8th, the
Feast of the Immaculate Conception (Holy Day of Obligation), where we will begin with a procession and the opening of the Holy Door. The Holy Father, calls us all especially
during this year, to examine our lives and renew our commitment to become actively involved in our local community and parish. After Mass, Women of The Word cordially
invite all to attend a breakfast and a reflection on the Year of
Mercy with Bishop Vasa in the Brinker room of the Becker
Center. The program ends with a mini-boutique. Please join
us! For more information, phone Ellen 539-2772. Please see
our calendar for more Mass times.
~OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE~
Saturday, December 12th, is the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. To celebrate this day in honor of Our Lady, Patroness of the Americas, all are invited to come to the Cathedral
for the following vigil activities on Friday evening, Dec. 11th:
5:30-6:30pm—songs to Our Blessed Mother, 6:30pm—Holy
Mass (Bi-Lingual) offered by Bishop Vasa and finally, at
7:30pm, dinner in the Becker Center.

CATEDRAL DE ST. EUGENE’S – 6 de Diciembre del 2015
Segundo Domingo de Adviento
PARA LA PARTICIPACION EN LA MISA
CREDO

(S. Juan Pablo II, Gratissimam sane, Carta a
¿No sería
