SPRED (Special Religious Education) prepares persons with
intellectual disabilities to fully belong in the liturgical life of
the parish. Catechists welcome their friends into a small faith
community where the word of God is shared through symbolic catechesis. SPRED currently meets on Wednesday evenings in the parish.
We are currently forming a second faith community for
adults with intellectual disabilities. If you know of someone
that may want to join us or if you are interested in becoming
a helper catechist, call Christa at 595-0385 ext. 119.

Initiation Programs
R.C.I.A. The next gathering of our RCIA community is this
Tuesday, MARCH 13TH at 7 pm. We
talks on the Sacraments of Initiation
continue. This week’s topic is the Sacrament of The Eucharist. All are welcome
to join our RCIA Lectures.
Scrutinies: The third step in the RCIA journey is the period
of purification and enlightenment. This is a time of intense
spiritual preparation that occurs during Lent. The focus is
the final preparation of the Elect for the Easter sacraments
and the challenge to the local community to enter more
deeply into the Paschal Mystery through the witness of the
Elect and their conversion journey. Starting this weekend
and the next two weekends three Scrutinies are celebrated.
These are celebration of healing and strengthening: helping
to uncover and heal all that is sinful as well raising up and
strengthening all that is good in the lives of the elect. Please
continue to pray for our elect, candidates and penitents during their Lenten journey.

Third Week of Lent
Operation Rice Bowl Reflection: Rights & Responsibilities
In today’s scriptures, we hear the commandments given to
Moses after God brings the Israelites out of slavery. These
commandments represent fundamental rights and responsibilities for all of God’s people. This week through Operation Rice
Bowl, we learn about communities in El Salvador that lack
clean and safe water, which is a basic human right. We pray
for those whose health is compromised by contaminated water,
and we fast from wasting and polluting this precious resource.
We give so that CRS can improve access to clean water in
communities throughout the world.

del sacramento. Catequistas.
Way, diariamente, para poder colaborarles.
