La fuerza del Rosario
A lo largo de la historia se ha visto como el rezo del Santo Rosario llena
de bendiciones a quienes lo rezan con devoción. María intercede por
nosotros sus hijos, ante el Padre. Dios ha querido que muchas gracias nos
lleguen por su conducto, ya que fue por ella que nos llegó la salvación.
Todo cristiano puede rezar el Rosario. Rezar el Rosario es como llevar
diez flores a María en cada misterio. Es una manera de repetirle muchas
veces lo mucho que la queremos. María intercede por nosotros sus hijos
y no nos deja de premiar con su ayuda. Al rezarlo, recordamos con la
mente y el corazón los misterios de la vida de Jesús y los misterios de la
conducta admirable de María: los gozosos, los dolorosos, los luminosos y
los gloriosos.

Mes de la Herencia Hispana
En los Estados Unidos, se celebra el Mes Nacional de la Herencia
Hispana, el cual comprende del 15 de septiembre al 15 de octubre de
cada año. El objetivo es celebrar las historias, culturas y contribuciones
de ciudada¬nos estadounidenses cuyos ancestros vinieron de España,
México, el Caribe, América Central y América del Sur. Los orígenes
de esta celebración datan de 1968, durante el mandato del Presidente
Lyndon Johnson. Quien declaró La Se¬mana de la Herencia Hispana.
Luego en 1988, durante el mandato el presidente Ronald Reagan, esta
se expandió de una semana a un periodo de 30 días. El 17 de agosto
de 1998, se proclamó ley con la aprobación de la Ley Pública 100402. Si usted o su comunidad realizo un evento especial durante este
mes de la Herencia Hispana, lo invitamos a que nos envíe sus fotos y

What’s so special about this month? October - Month of the Rosary!
The power of the Rosary
Throughout history, it has been seen that praying the Holy Rosary
brings many blessings to those who do it with devotion. Mary
intercedes for us, her children. God wants those many blessings to
come to us through Mary. It was because of her that the Savior came
to us. Every Christian can pray the Rosary. Praying the Rosary is like
giving Mary ten flowers with each mystery. It is a way to repeat many
times how much we love her. When we pray, we remember, with the
mind and heart, the mysteries of the life of Jesus and the mysteries
of Mary’s admirable attitude: the joyful, sorrowful, the luminous and
glorious.
How to pray the Rosary

Hispanic Heritage Month
In the United States, National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated
from September 15 to October 15 each year. The aim is to celebrate
the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose
ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and
South America. The origins of this celebration dates back to 1968,
during the administration of President Lyndon Johnson, who declared
the Hispanic Heritage Week. Then in 1988, during President Ronald
Reagan’s mandate, it expanded from one week to a period of 30 days.
On August 17, 1998, it was proclaimed law with the approval of
Public Law 100-402. If you or your community had a special event
during this Hispanic Heritage Month, we invite you to send us your

Certificado por internet en Teología Pastoral en español de
la Universidad de Dallas. Dirigido a enriquecer la formación de líderes catequéticos y de ministerio que sirven a
la comunidad de habla hispana. Al completar 18 cursos, a
lo largo de 3 años, el estudiante obtiene un Certificado en
Teología Pastoral de la Escuela de Ministerio de la Universidad de Dallas. No hay requisitos académicos ni legales para
inscribirse. Inscripciones abiertas del 10 de Octubre al 15 de
Noviembre. El costo del curso es de $670.- por año ($56 al
mes) lo cual incluye 6 cursos y libros. Existe la posibilidad
de becas parciales. Para mayor información comuníquese

El próximo 15 de noviembre se realizara un retiro de iniciación para hombres, por parte del Movimiento de Retiros
Parroquiales Juan XXII. Se hace una atenta invitación a
participar a todos los hombres que residen en las zonas de
Albany, Bainbridge and Waycross así como también a los
miembros de las 12 parroquias en donde el Movimiento se
encuentra presente. Si en su parroquia no hay presencia del
movimiento pero usted está interesado en conocer más o ser
miembro, hable con su párroco y contacte a Pablo Noriega

Online Certificate in Pastoral Theology in Spanish from the
University of Dallas. Directed to enrich the formation of catechetical and ministry leaders serving the Spanish-speaking
community. Upon completion of 18 online courses, over a
period of three years, the student earns a Certificate of Pastoral Theology from the School of Ministry of the University
of Dallas. There are no academic or legal prerequisites in
order to register. Registration open October 10 – November
15, 2013. The Annual tuition is $670 (or $56 a month) and
includes six online courses per year and basic course books.
There is a possibility of partial scholarships. For more

An initiation retreat for men will be held on November 15,
2013, by the Parish Retreat Movement John XXII. This
retreat is open for all men that live in the following areas:
Albany, Bainbridge and Waycross or near any of the other
12 parishes where the John XXII Moment is already present.
If your parish does not have an active John XXII group, and
you would like to have one, or if you are interested in becoming a member or learn more about it, talk to your pastor

St. Paul’s Church in Douglas invites all Spanish speaking
couples, married or not through the Catholic Church, to
a couples retreat. Day: October 19, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 pm.

La Diócesis de Savannah celebra y felicita a los catequistas
hispanos que pronto obtendrán su certificación diocesana!!
Especialmente a los grupos de Columbus y Blakely que semanalmente se están reuniendo para aprender sobre nuestra
fe y adquirir el conocimiento necesario para la certificación.
Si usted es catequista y quiere obtener su certificación Diocesana, hable con su párroco para que el contacte a la Oficina
de Formación en la Fe de la Diócesis.
Future Diocesan Certified Catechists
The Diocese of Savannah celebrates and congratulates the
Hispanic catechists that soon will get their diocesan certification! Especially the groups in Columbus and Blakely,
who are meeting weekly to learn about our faith and acquire
the necessary knowledge for the certification. If you want to
get your diocesan certification, talk to your pastor so he can
contact the Office of Faith Formation at the Diocese.
Escuela de Ministerios (SEPI) en Columbus
El pasado 5 de Octubre la Iglesia Nuestra Señora de Lourdes
en Columbus, inicio el programa de dos años de Escuela
de Ministerios del Instituto
Pastoral del Sureste (SEPI). Al
finalizar las 150 horas de estudio
los estudiantes obtendrán una
certificación de SEPI. Si usted
está interesado en iniciar este
programa en su parroquia hable
con su párroco y dígale que contacte a la Oficina del Ministerio
Hispano.

On October 5, Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Columbus,
started a two-year program called School of Ministry by
Southeast Pastoral Institute
(SEPI). Upon completion of 150
hours of study, students will receive a certification from SEPI.

contact the Office of Hispanic
Ministry.
La parroquia de Santa Teresa en Albany, tiene la bendición
de contar con un grupo de parejas que se reúne mensualmente. Durante la reunión de Agosto el grupo tuvo una
noche de oración muy especial, dirigida
por el Padre Carlos Pinzon, quien les
invito a renovar su compromiso con
Dios y con su cónyuge. Al final de la
noche cada pareja ilumino una vela
que luego fue ofrecida a Jesus Sacramentado como símbolo de este nuevo
compromiso de amor. A la vez, el grupo
de parejas de Albany quiere enviar un
agradecimiento especial a Sarai, Martin
y Agustín miembros de la parroquia de
Santa Maria en Americus, por su visita y
por compartir su talento musical.

compromiso de amor!! E invitamos a más parejas a que nos
compartan como ellos están trabajando en tener a Dios como
centro de su matrimonio.
The parish of St. Teresa in Albany is blessed to have a couples group that meets monthly. During the August meeting,
the group had a very special night of prayer, led by Father
Carlos Pinzon, who invited them to
renew their commitment to God and
their spouse. At the end of the night,
every couple lit a candle which was then
offered to the Blessed Sacrament, as a
symbol of this new commitment of love.
At the same time, the group wants to
send a special thanks to Sarai, Martin y
Augustin members of St. Mary’s Parish
in Americus, for their visit and for sharing his musical talents.
From the Bulletin of Hispanic Ministry, congratulations to the Albany group
of couples for their commitment of love!
We invite more partners to share how they are working to
have God at the center of their marriage.
