Dear Parent/Guardian:
Thank you for your continued support of the After School Programs. We hope you and your child are enjoying our FREE
services such as homework assistance, technology-based tutorial, and fun, diverse recreation/enrichment activities.
As you know, beginning Monday, November 2, 2015 we will return to Standard Time; the sun will set considerably
earlier. In order to assure the safety and security of our students, we will begin to dismiss walking and bus riding students
earlier in the program, with the understanding that they may not complete all components of the after school program.
Please take a moment to review the following information regarding our Standard Time (November 2, 2015 to March
11, 2016) dismissal policy, as well as the First Student bus routes/stops attached, taking into account that your student
may be walking home at sundown:

WALKERS: Children who are given permission by their parent/guardian to walk home at the end of the program
will be allowed to leave the program twenty-five (25) minutes before sunset. Keep in mind that in December
sunset is as early as 4:40 p.m., which means students could leave as early as 4:15 p.m.; yet in February sunset is
around 5:30 p.m., which means students could leave as early as 5:05 p.m.

BUS RIDERS: Children who are given permission to ride the bus will be dismissed and loaded onto the bus
thirty (30) minutes before the regular bus dismissal time.
We will return to our regular schedule on Monday, March 14, 2016; students will be dismissed at the end of the program
at 6:00 p.m. If you have any questions, please call the After School Programs office at (951) 358-1682 between the hours
of 9:45 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.
We must receive the portion below with your signature by November 2, 2015 for your child to continue in the
program.

nor the Alvord Unified School District is liable for incidents involving my child after he/she is signed out of the
program.

Estimados Padres/Guardianes:
Gracias por su continuo apoyo a los Programas Después de Clases. Esperamos que ustedes y sus hijos estén disfrutando
de nuestros servicios GRATUITOS tales como ayuda con la tarea, tutoría basada en tecnología y actividades divertidas y
diversas de esparcimiento.
Como ustedes saben, a partir del lunes, 2 de noviembre del 2015 regresaremos al Horario Estándar; la puesta del sol es
considerablemente más temprano. Para poder garantizar la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes, empezaremos a dejar salir
más temprano del programa a los estudiantes que se van caminando o que usan el autobús a sabiendas de que es posible
que no completen todos los componentes del programa después de clases. Por favor, tómense el tiempo para revisar la
siguiente información relacionada con la hora de salida en nuestro Horario Estándar (del 2 de noviembre del 2015 al 11
de marzo del 2016), así como las horas y paradas del autobús First Student anexas, tomando en consideración que es
posible que sus hijos caminen a casa durante el atardecer.

CAMINAR A CASA: Los niños a quienes sus padres/guardianes les den permiso de caminar a casa al final del
programa, se les permitirá salir del programa veinticinco (25) minutos antes del atardecer. Mantengan en mente
que en diciembre el atardecer puede ser desde las 4:40 p.m., lo cual quiere decir que los estudiantes podrán salir
del programa tan temprano como las 4:15 p.m.; aunque en febrero, el atardecer ocurre alrededor de las 5:30 p.m.,
lo cual quiere decir que los estudiantes podrán salir del programa tan temprano como las 5:05 p.m.

AUTOBÚS: Los niños que usen el servicio de autobús saldrán y abordarán el autobús 30 minutos antes de la hora
regular de salida.
Regresaremos a nuestro horario regular el lunes, 14 de marzo del 2016; los estudiantes saldrán al final del programa 6:00
p.m. Si tienen alguna pregunta, por favor llamen a la oficina de Programas Después de Clases al (951) 358-1682 de 9:45
a.m. a 6:45 p.m.
Debemos recibir la porción inferior de la hoja con su firma antes del 2 de noviembre del 2015 para que su hijo/a
continúe en nuestro programa.
