TopAccess®
TopAccessComposer®/e-Filing
TopAccess is a device management and document status utility for Toshiba e-STUDIO
multifunction peripheral (MFP) devices. Toshiba gives you the flexibility to manage the device and
monitor job status, the answer to remote administration and simplified device monitoring. Resident
in the optional controller on many Toshiba products, TopAccess broadcasts a web page, which is
available to all users when the device is networked. Since this feature is browser-based, users view
it in Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. No additional software is needed on your PC. Visit
the web address of the device just like you would any other web page.
TopAccessComposer/e-Filing is an additional component of
TopAccess. From the TopAccess web page, users have the
ability to perform document storage, document composition
and document sharing. Users can store documents to
TopAccessComposer or e-Filing, as well as merge different
documents created in varying formats into one document.

Network Administration Features
Device management allows users to view
a graphic representation of the device and
check the device status. Users can view
TopAccess from their desktop, prior to
walking up to the device, to make certain
there is paper in the drawers and ensure
that their job has executed successfully.
For a network administrator, TopAccess
offers value beyond simple device status
information. With the administrative
log-in and password, IT professionals
are able to configure the network settings
from their desktop, enable document
routing, load files to the controller, import
address books for faxing and scanning,
access the company’s corporate email
server with LDAP, and receive email
notifications from the device. This
essentially simplifies network installation
and maintenance.

up-to-the-moment look at the system.
• Users can see the size and type of
paper in each location, and check to
see whether paper is available.
• The various user tabs offer a detailed
view of documents in the job queue
for print, fax and scan jobs.
• Administrators can configure and
establish network settings for all
e-STUDIO™ devices directly from
their desktop.
• Proactively monitor the device by
establishing notification events to
receive via email.
• View counter and message logs that
track usage history and error messages.
