WESTSIDE REDEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE (WRAC) WESTSIDE REDEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE (WRAC) ELECTIONS – FEBRUARY 16! Be a part of the WRAC membership process – Attend the Election Meeting on February 16 • 6 pm – Voter Registration What is WRAC? A citizen’s advisory group that will advise the City on matters relating to the formation & implementation of the proposed Westside Redevelopment Area Project. Who can participate in WRAC? If you live, own a business, or represent a community organization within the proposed Project Area, you are eligible to participate in the WRAC as a committee member and/or voter. What is the proposed Project Area? The Project Area was revised by City Council (January 24th) to include only the Westside community within city limits (see map on the other side). Note: The area no longer includes the unincorporated North Avenue community. How do I become a WRAC Candidate? You must submit a completed Candidate Information Form and required documentation evidencing your eligibility to City Hall by 5pm, February 9. Candidate Applications available online (address below). How do I vote for WRAC Members? You must attend the Election Meeting on February 16th to vote (no proxy voting allowed). Eligible voters will be registered at the Meeting; eligibility documentation is required for registration (see Election Guidelines online – address below). Election Meeting: February 16 (6 pm–Voter Registration; 7 pm–Election Meeting). E.P. Foster School Auditorium, 20 Pleasant Place. WRAC es un comité que consejera a la Ciudad en casos que afecten a los residentes y negocios del Westside y en casos que sean relacionados con la implementación del Westside Redevelopment Area Project. ¿Quién puede participar en el WRAC? Residentes (alquílenos y dueños), negociantes dentro la área del Proyecto y representantes de organizaciones comunitarias sirviendo en la área del Proyecto. ¿Cuál es la Área Del Proyecto? La área original fue modificada por el Concejal de la Ciudad de Ventura el DIA 24 de Enero. Con esta modificación, solamente el área del Westside estará en la Área Del Proyecto (por favor de ver el mapa incluido atrás). La Comunidad del Avenida del Norte ya no será parte de este proyecto. ¿Cómo puedo ser Candidato al WRAC? Tendrá que entregar la Forma De Candidatura Y la documentación adecuada para demostrando su elegibilidad en las oficinas de La Ciudad de Ventura el DIA 9 de Febrero. La aplicación de Candidatura esta disponible en la pagina del Internet escrita abajo. ¿Cómo puedo votar en las elecciones del WRAC? Tendrá que asistir a la junta de elecciones el Día 16 de Febrero para poder votar (no se permitirá votar de afuera). Personas elegibles de votar serán registradas en la junta.
