Spring is finally here!
We have had a blast exploring, researching, and
learning about insects and
arachnids. The kids have
had the chance to explore
several different bugs in
the classroom such as a
ladybug, a spider, millipedes, ants, and a Wooly
Bear Caterpillar. They
have also read several
Eric Carle books including, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Grouchy Ladybug, and The Very Busy
Spider.

We will be transitioning
and ending the year with
a study about Spring. As
long as the weather is
permitting, we will be
going outside every day.
Please remember to
dress your child appropriately.

During the summer
months, there are many
things you can do to help
your child be school
ready in the fall. Research
shows that children learn
best when they are engaged in meaningful play,
so try some of these outdoor learning activities:
Read outdoors. Settle
into a shady sport with
some books and a blanket
for outdoor reading time.
Simply reading together
every day helps your
child understand print
concepts, improves
speech and vocabulary,
promotes parent-child
bonding and fosters a
lifelong love of books.
Sidewalk chalk.
Strengthen the muscles
needed for writing by
drawing with sidewalk
chalk on the sidewalk or
driveway. Ask your child
to write their name or
practice writing the
ABC’s to see how many
letters they know.
Alphabet spotting. Take
a walk or bike ride around
the neighborhood looking
for signs. Challenge your
child to a letter hunt to
see how many letters they
find and identify.
Discovery walk. Explore
your community on foot
looking for things in nature that you may not be
able to identify.
Library visit. When it’s
too hot to play outdoors
or you’ve just run out of
books to read, head over
to the public library. Look
for books about topics
that interest your child or
research things you saw
on a discovery walk.

La Primavera finalmente
esta aqui!
Nos divertido explorando,
investigando y aprendiendo sobre insectos y arácnidos. Los niños han tenido la oportunidad de explorar varios diferentes
insectos en el salon como
una mariquita, una araña,
ciempiés, hormigas, y una
Wooly oso oruga. También han leído varios libros de Eric Carle, incluyendo, La oruga hambrienta, , La mariquita
malhumorada, y la araña
muy ocupada.
Los niños han disfrutado
de aprender nuevas palabras de vocabulario rela-
cionadas con nuestro
estudio, especialmente

Durante los meses de verano, hay muchas cosas que
usted puede hacer para ayudar a su hijo a estar listo
para la escuela en el otoño.
La investigación muestra que
los niños aprenden mejor
cuando participan en juegos
útiles, así que trate de algunas de estas actividades de
aprendizaje al aire libre:
Leer aire libre. Instalarse en
la sombra, con algunos libros
y una manta para el tiempo
de la lectura al aire libre.
Simplemente lea juntos todos los días ayudara a su
hijo a entender los conceptos
de impresión, mejora el habla
y el vocabulario, promueve el
vínculo entre padres e hijos y

Paseo de Descubrir. Ex-
plore su comunidad a pie en

de identificar.
Visite la biblioteca. Cuando
este muy caliente para jugar
al aire libre o no tengan mas
libros para leer, visite la biblioteca pública. Busque
libros sobre temas que le
interesan a su niño o información sobre lo que descubrieron en el paseo.
