ADDENDUM TO WATERLASE IPLUS USER MANUAL (EN)
INTRODUCTION
This Addendum is supplemental to the existing WaterLase iPlus User Manual.
Section 5 > Operating Instructions > Applications Menu > Level 0 Description
The REPAIR app has been expanded; the user now has a choice of REPAIR Implant or REPAIR Perio, which are
designed to assist in the management of peri-implantitis and periodontitis using an Er,Cr:YSGG laser device. Both
laser apps are accessed from the Applications Menu, and both offer a step-by-step sequence of existing clinical
indications for WaterLase iPlus, with recommended settings and tips for each step.
Section 8 > Warnings and Precautions
EYEWEAR
When using the WaterLase YSGG laser, doctor, patient, assistant, and all others inside or entering the operatory
must always wear appropriate laser protection eyewear for the 2780 nm wavelength, OD3 or greater (OD 3+). Refer
to the OD specification imprinted on the glasses.
If using the YSGG laser in conjunction with a BIOLASE diode laser (Epic or iLase), doctor, patient, assistant and
all others inside or entering the operatory must always wear appropriate laser protection eyewear for the 940 nm
wavelength, OD 4 or greater (OD 4+). Refer to the OD specification imprinted on the glasses.

La aplicación REPAIR se ha ampliado. El usuario ahora puede elegir entre REPAIR Implante o REPAIR
Perio, que se han diseñado para ayudar en la gestión de periimplantitis y periodontitis con un dispositivo láser
Er,Cr:YSGG. Se puede acceder a las dos aplicaciones láser desde el Menú de aplicaciones, y las dos ofrecen
una secuencia, paso a paso, de las indicaciones clínicas existentes para WaterLase iPlus, con los ajustes
recomendados y consejos prácticos para cada paso.

GAFAS DE PROTECCIÓN
Al usar el láser WaterLase YSGG tanto doctor, paciente, asistente y todo aquel presente en la operación deben
llevar en todo momento las gafas de protección para láser adecuadas para la longitud de onda de 2780 nm, OD3 o
superior (OD 3+). Consulte la especificación OD impresa en las gafas.
Si se usa el láser YSGG junto a un láser de diodo BIOLASE (Epic o iLase) tanto doctor, paciente, asistente y todo
aquel presente en la operación deben llevar en todo momento las gafas de protección para láser adecuadas para la
longitud de onda de 940 nm, OD4 o superior (OD 4+). Consulte la especificación OD impresa en las gafas.

Le présent ajout complète le manuel de l’utilisateur WaterLase iPlus existant.

L’appli REPAIR (RÉPARATION) a été étendue ; l’utilisateur peut désormais choisir REPAIR Implant ou REPAIR
Perio, qui sont des options conçues à des fins d’assistance de la gestion de péri-implantite et de parodontite, à
l’aide d’un dispositif laser Er,Cr:YSGG. Les deux applications laser sont accessibles depuis le menu Applications,
et les deux expliquent pas à pas les indications cliniques existantes pour le WaterLase iPlus, et des paramètres
conseillés et astuces sont fournis pour chaque étape.

LUNETTES DE PROTECTION
Lors de l’utilisation du laser YSGG WaterLase, le médecin, le patient, l’assistant et toutes les autres personnes

d’onde de 2 780 nm, OD3 ou supérieure (OD 3+). Reportez-vous au marquage OD imprimé sur les lunettes.

AUGENSCHUTZ
Bei Verwendung des WaterLase YSGG-Lasers müssen Ärzte, Patienten, Assistenzpersonal und alle weiteren
Personen, die sich im Operationsbereich befinden oder diesen betreten, einen angemessenen Augenschutz tragen,
der für eine Wellenlänge von 2780 nm – OD 3 oder höher (OD 3+) – ausgelegt ist. Informationen zur optischen
Dichte (OD) sind auf den Schutzbrillen aufgedruckt.
Bei Verwendung des YSGG-Lasers gemeinsam mit einem BIOLASE Diodenlaser (Epic oder iLase) müssen Ärzte,
Patienten, Assistenzpersonal und alle weiteren Personen, die sich im Operationsbereich befinden oder diesen
betreten, einen angemessenen Augenschutz tragen, der für eine Wellenlänge von 940 nm – OD 4 oder höher (OD

appropriati per la lunghezza d’onda di 2780 nm, OD 3 o superiore (OD 3+). Controllare la specifica OD stampata
sugli occhiali.
Quando si utilizza il laser YSGG insieme al laser a diodo BIOLASE (Epic o iLase), il medico, il paziente, l’assistente
medico e tutte le altre persone all’interno della sala operatoria o che vi devono entrare devono indossare sempre
occhiali di protezione laser appropriati per la lunghezza d’onda di 940 nm, OD 4 o superiore (OD 4+). Controllare la
specifica OD stampata sugli occhiali.
ADDENDUM BIJ DE GEBRUIKERSHANDLEIDING VAN WATERLASE IPLUS (NL)
INLEIDING
Dit addendum is een aanvulling op de bestaande gebruikershandleiding van de WaterLase iPlus.
Sectie 5 > Bedieningsinstructies > Menu Toepassingen > Omschrijving niveau 0
De app REPAIR is uitgebreid. De gebruiker kan nu kiezen tussen REPAIR Implant of REPAIR Perio. Deze
hulpmiddelen zijn ontworpen voor de behandeling van peri-implantitis en periodontitis door middel van een
Er,Cr:YSGG-laser. Beide laserapps zijn toegankelijk vanuit het menu Toepassingen en bieden een stappenplan
voor bestaande medische indicaties voor de WaterLase iPlus. Bij elke stap worden aanbevolen instellingen en
tips gegeven.
Sectie 8 > Waarschuwingen en voorzorgsmaatregelen
OOGBESCHERMING
Tijdens het gebruik van de WaterLase YSGG-laser moeten de arts, patiënt, assistent en alle andere personen die
zich in de operatieruimte bevinden of er binnenkomen te allen tijde oogbescherming dragen die geschikt is voor
lasers met een golflengte van 2780 nm, OD3 of hoger (OD 3+). Controleer de OD-specificatie op de bril.
Indien de YSGG-laser wordt gebruikt in combinatie met een diodelaser van BIOLASE (Epic of iLase), moeten de
arts, patiënt, assistent en alle andere personen die zich in de operatieruimte bevinden of er binnenkomen te allen
tijde oogbescherming dragen die geschikt is voor lasers met een golflengte van 940 nm, OD 4 of hoger (OD 4+).
Controleer de OD-specificatie op de bril.
