Sunday Reflection
This month of October is traditionally
known as the month of the Rosary. We
acknowledge the life of Christ every
time we pray and we ask for the intercession of his mother, the first disciple,
to pray for us. We also begin respect life month and
for every week of this month we will establish a theme
as we focus on the ways we can form a culture of life,
not death. This first weekend we celebrate the life of
our larger community with our annual parish fiesta.
Next week we will hear about the importance of life
from conception to natural death. October 16, we will
celebrate the life of our parish as we install our new
pastor. October 23rd, we will hear about the importance of ending the death penalty in. And October
30th, we will hear about how we can positively affect
the life of a baby, child or teen through adoption. This
month is about giving the gift of life and it all begins
with acknowledging the hope and love Christ promises us in this life and the next. May we share the gift
of
life
this
month
and
always.
On October 22nd, we have our annual casino night
sponsored by our grade school. This night is a fun
night of cards, bingo, poker, craps, food, drinks and
more. Amazing gift baskets are being given away as
prizes. Child care is available so that you can enjoy
the night.
Special thanks to our wonderful Fiesta volunteers who
are making this weekend a success. Thanks to Christine Hart for chairing this event. Thanks to all of you
for your continued support of the parish.

Este mes de octubre tradicionalmente es conocido
como el mes del Rosario. Reconocemos la vida de
Cristo cada vez que rezamos y pedimos por la
intercesión de su madre, la primer discípula, que
ruegue por nosotros. También comenzamos el mes de
respeto por la vida y cada semana de este mes
estableceremos un tema al enfocarnos en las maneras
en las que podemos formar una cultura de vida, no de
muerte. Este primer fin de semana celebramos la vida
nuestra gran comunidad con nuestra fiesta anual. La
próxima semana escucharemos la importancia de la
vida desde la concepción hasta la muerte natural. El
16 de octubre, celebraremos la vida de nuestra
parroquia con la instalación de nuestro nuevo
párroco. El 23 de octubre, escucharemos acerca de la
importancia de terminar con la sentencia de muerte.
Y el 30 de octubre, escucharemos la manera en cómo
podemos afectar positivamente la vida de un bebe, un
niño o adolecente por medio de la adopción. Este mes
es acerca de dar el regalo de vida y todo comienza
reconociendo la esperanza y el amor que Cristo nos
promete en esta vida y en la próxima. Que podamos
compartir el regalo de vida este mes y siempre.
El 22 de octubre, tenemos nuestro casino anual
patrocinado por nuestra escuela parroquial. Esta es
una noche de diversión con juego de cartas, bingo,
póker, comida y demás. Canastas fabulosas se darán
como premio. Habrá cuidado de niños para que
puedan disfrutar de la noche. Gracias especiales para
nuestros voluntarios de la Fiesta quienes hacen que la
fiesta sea un éxito. Gracias a Christine Hart por
supervisar este evento. Gracias a todos ustedes por su
continuo apoyo para la parroquia.
