In an effort to become more efficient and reduce operational costs, the
Aldine ISD Transportation Department will change the way it operates
its extra curricular activity bus runs (XC runs) for high school and middle school students who participate in extra curricular activities. Extra
curricular activities include athletics, band and performing arts, student
organizations, and many other programs in which students participate
after the regular school day. The change will take effect, August 22,
2011
The district will no longer drop off students at multiple stops in
neighborhoods or subdivisions for its high school and middle school
extra curricular activity runs (XC runs). Bus stops have been combined
and the extra curricular bus runs (XC) will be similar to the current
high school summer school runs. This will allow for maximizing student-ridership and utilizing fewer school buses.
The new transportation system will drop off high school and middle
school students, who participate in extra curricular activities, in strategic
locations including the front of some neighborhoods, subdivisions,
apartment complexes, mobile home parks, some schools, and other strategic locations.

Although Aldine ISD will continue providing extra curricular transportation services, some school districts have eliminated transportation for
its extra curricular programs.
Parents are asked to visit the Aldine ISD website at
www.aldine.k12.tx.us, and view the stops for their respective areas or
call East Transportation at 281-985-6628 or West Transportation at
281-878-7800 if you have questions.

Extraescolares (XC rutas) para la Secundaria y Escuela Media
En un esfuerzo de llegar a ser más eficiente y reducir costos operacionales, el Departamento de Transporte de Aldine ISD cambiará la manera
como operan los autobuses después de la escuela durante actividades
extraescolares (XC rutas) para estudiantes de la Secundaria y Escuela
Media quienes participan en actividades extraescolares. Actividades extraescolares tales como atletismo, banda, artes interpretativas, organizaciones estudiantiles, y muchos otros programas en los que participan
estudiantes después del día escolar regular. El cambio tomará efecto, el
22 de agosto de 2011.
El distrito ya no dejará estudiantes en múltiples paradas en vecindarios
o subdivisiones a estudiantes de secundaria y escuela media que participan en actividades extraescolares después de escuela (XC rutas). Las paradas de autobuses han sido combinadas y las
(XC rutas) rutas de autobuses extraescolares serán semejantes a las paradas de la escuela secundaria de verano. Esto permitirá llevar el máximo
de estudiantes y utilizar menos autobuses escolares.
El nuevo sistema de transportación dejará a estudiantes de secundaria y
escuela media, que participan en actividades extraescolares, en ubicaciones estratégicas incluyendo al frente de algunos vecindarios, subdivisiones, departamentos, parques de casas móviles, algunas escuelas, y otras
ubicaciones estratégicas.
El Distrito Escolar de Aldine seguirá proporcionando servicios de transporte para actividades extraescolares aunque algunos otros distritos escolares ya han eliminado completamente el transporte para sus programas
extraescolares.
