Novo Carthago is a new GOLF AND BEACH RESORT that has come about as
a result of a process lasting more than two thousand years, because it is located
in a region that has gone through a long and varied history that began when
the Carthaginians disembarked on the Costa Cálida of Murcia and founded
the city of Quart Hadast, known today as Cartagena.
Later on, the Romans,Visigoths and Arabs arrived.These cultures left their mark
behind on the land and contributed to the creation of the unique culture and
character of Cartagena, the region of Murcia and, of course, Novo Carthago
itself. Today, Murcia is a community open to the future, in a land where you
can enjoy the most spectacular coastline in southeastern Spain, within an
enviable setting along Europe’s Mediterranean coastal arch.

courses as Puerta de Hierro in Madrid, Spain,The Links at Spanish Bay in Pebble Beach, California

One project, two courses, two clearly distinguished playing sites:
THE FIRST COURSE, more demanding during play and therefore
intended for hosting the highest level of international tournaments,
was conceived as a large link designed to face the Mar Menor and
its islands, with a length of more than 7 kilometers (possibly the
longest course in Spain), with fairways surrounded by bunkers, wetlands
and spectacular vistas of historical monuments, like the Monastery
of San Ginés de la Jara.
THE SECOND COURSE, conceived as a large Mediterranean oasis
in which the lakes, lavish plant life, changes in the course direction,
views overlooking Spanish-style windmills with sails, the Mar Menor,
the Monastery of San Ginés, and so forth, offer players a unique
setting to play golf, as a symbol of the philosophy of respecting the
environment promoted by Hansa Urbana.
