Dear Ambassador,
I am pleased to inform you that the documentation that you have kindly
transmitted us on the Master Plan and Puerto Baron Construction projects to be
implemented in the Historic Quarter of the Seaport City of Valparaíso,
property inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2003 under criteria (iii), has been
reviewed by the Advisory Bodies.
Please find attached the assessment made by ICOMOS, in conformity to
Paragraph 172 of the Operational Guidelines for the Implementation of the World
Heritage Convention.
If you require any further clarifications with regard to this evaluation, the World
Heritage Centre remains at your full disposal.
