Lord, help us to follow your call by serving the “little ones”, especially those more likely
to be subject to the cruelty and indifference of the world. Sustain us in this work with
the assurance that when we receive them, we receive not only you but the One who
sent you.

In today’s Gospel Jesus called the Twelve, and said
to them, “If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be
last of all and the servant of all.” Taking a child, he
placed it in their midst, and putting his arms around
it, he said to them, “Whoeer receives one child such
as this in my name, receives me; and whoever receives me,
receives not me but the One who sent me.”
Your gift to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul will help hungry
children feel the arms of Jesus around them.

All Saints Catholic School News
All Saints is very excited to announce that with 102
students we are at the highest enrollment that we have
been at in three years! And we aren’t finished growing for
the 2015-2016 school year. Applications are still being
accepted for our new preschool classroom (3 and 4 year
olds), as well as kindergarten through 8th grades. If you are
interested in enrolling your child, please call the office at
378-7012.
Congratulations to the September Students of the
Month. This month students were selected because they
are active Christians who know right from wrong. This
month we recognized the following students at our school
mass—Annabelle Funke (PreK), Lilly Schottenbauer (K),
Juliana Armenta (1), Ava Gonzalez (2), Emma Romero (3/4),
Jordan Alley (5/6), and Jade Gonzalez (7/8). Thank you for
being such wonderful role models for the rest of our
students!
September 20th meet at veterans memorial park to serve
the poor a meal. Parents drop your child off at 2:10 pm
(Ramada no.1) and parents pick up child at 3:45pm.
September 27th youth group 3:15-4:45pm.
Questions?? Call Miss Amy or Mr. Andrew at 459-2188.
WE STILL NEED SPONSORS!!
RCIA sponsors are adults who serve as mentors to the RCIA
candidate. Sponsors are people who believe in God and
sometimes doubt as well. Sponsors are people who wish to give
God a little something in gratitude for the many blessings they
have received. Sponsors are people who don’t have lots of extra
time but are willing to make time so another person can grow in
faith.
Sponsors are people like you!
Will you be a companion on the journey for one of our RCIA
participants?
PLEASE
contact
Deacon
José
([email protected]) (520) 459-1967 to find out how you
could be a Sponsor in our RCIA process.
CATECHETICAL SUNDAY 2015
Please join us the parish as we pray for those who serve the
Church in Catechetical Ministry:
With your Fatherly blessing, Lord, strengthen these servants of
yours in their resolve to dedicate themselves as catechists.
Grant that they will strive to share with others what they
themselves derive from pondering your Word and studying the
Church’s teaching. And let them gladly join those they teach in
honoring and serving your name. We ask this through Christ
our Lord. Amen
“How precious is the family as the privileged place for
transmitting the faith!” Pope Francis, July 26, 2014
The Six P’s of Strong Catholic Families
1. Proclaim and live God’s way of life and love.
2. Pray together; individually and with the parish church
family.
3. Play together and enjoy your unique bond as family.
4. Pardon each other…forgiveness and reconciliation.
5. Party together, eat together, be together without
interruptions.
6. Penance…self-denial, denying the self-centered self,
making room for reaching out in loving service.

The 2015 Collection for Our Catholic Schools,
Diocese of Tucson September 26-27,2015
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ:
The 2015 theme for the Catholic School Collection is "Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith,
Knowledge and Service." The logo that was designed by the National Catholic Educational Association
for Catholic Schools' Week 2016, and which will be used for our Collection, features a swirl of colors
interacting around a cross - the center of all Catholic education. The vibrancy of the colors and the
movement and shadows in the logo portray the inner-connectivity and community life that are present in
our Catholic schools.
We are proud of our schools! ill school year 2014-2015 we had 471seniors graduating from our six
Catholic-high schools in the Diocese of Tucson. All graduating seniors have been accepted to colleges,
universities, and military service with over $39 million in scholarships and grants awarded. We, as
community, will continue to keep them in prayer, and we will continue to offer a high level of service to ,
the nation by serving students from all economic backgrounds and giving them a strong academic and
moral foundation, thus allowing them to succeed in life.
. .
The Catholic community in our Diocese of Tucson will have an opportunity to help our 25 Catholic
schools in the'Diocese on September 26 and 27, 2015. During these Saturday/Sunday masses, throughout
the Diocese of Tucson, there will be a special collection to help the Catholic schools in the Diocese by
supporting the services provided to meet the ever-increasing needs of our students and families. This
collection money is critical in that it helps support schools in areas such as:
.
• Teacher support, especially all the new teachers we have this year
• Early education support
• Elementary sports league
• Curriculum standards review
• Support for student intervention teams
• Supporting and facilitating data driving instructional practices
Thank you in advance for helping our Catholic schools to continue with their commitment to the
development of the whole child. By supporting this annual collection, you are helping us fulfill our
mission: "To foster the growth of the whole personin which faith, academic excellence, and service are
integral to the life of every student. "
.
I send you my sincere thanks for helping us to continue to educate our students in our Catholic schools in
our Diocese of Tucson.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
~jr~~~
