We thank ALL who have pledged so far and urge every family to make an effort to support the Appeal. FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK Dear Parishioners, This Friday, Jun 6th, marks the 70th Anniversary of D-Day, when Allied forces landed on the beaches of Normandy and began the liberation of Europe from Nazi domination. Today we still see the power of evil in our world, as evidenced by the kidnapping of almost 300 Nigerian girls (mostly Christians) by the Islamist terrorist group, Boko Haram. We see it also in the slaughter of innocent people in California by a deranged 22-year old gunman. An 18th century political leader once said that all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing. Let us in our time be inspired by the heroes of D-Day who did whatever they could and made whatever sacrifice was needed to defeat evil. May God bless them and all who give their lives to promote goodness in the service of others! Msgr. Mons.
