Dear Parents,
Queridos Padres,
We welcome the WCEA team to St. Peter. We thank
them for the gift of their time to visit and affirm the
wonderful things that happen at St. Peter.
Damos la bienvenida al equipo WCEA a San Pedro.
Les damos las gracias por su tiempo y afirmar las
cosas maravillosas que pasan en San Pedro.
Thank you to all the parents for your understanding
about calendar changes that needed to be made for the
WCEA visit.
Gracias a todos los padres de familia por su

We begin the second week of Lent with the question,
How do I serve? I absorb my culture’s values, and I
recognize that I am too much focused on my needs and
myself. I want to absorb the values of Christ, so I ask
Christ to shed light on my efforts to serve. How do I
connect with others? How do I serve their needs? How
can I do better? I choose to follow Christ, but I know I
cannot even start without the light of the Holy Spirit.
1. Give Thanks. I thank God for this day, for my life,
for all I am and have, and for His Word.
2. Pray for Light. I ask the Father to let me see my day
as the Holy Spirit sees it, and to show me what I need
to see.
3. Find God. I look at my day in the light of the Spirit.
I look back over the morning, the afternoon, and the
evening. Who talked with me or worked with me?
Did I get done what I meant to do or leave things out?
Have I followed my own path? Have I done what
everyone does?
4. Anything Wrong? Did something go bad? Is my
work incomplete? I feel the sorrow of painful
situations that I cannot change.
5. What Now? I look forward in hope. Where do I
need God?

becoming angry or upset.

A St. Peter’s student will comprehend and
communicate effectively through reading, writing,
speaking, and listening.
Comenzamos la segunda semana de Cuaresma con
la pregunta: ¿Cómo le sirvo? Absorbo los valores de
mi cultura, y reconozco que estoy demasiado
concentrado en mis necesidades y yo. Quiero
absorber los valores de Cristo, por lo que pido a
Cristo a arrojar luz sobre mis esfuerzos para servir.
¿Cómo se conecta con los demás? ¿Cómo puedo
responder a sus necesidades? ¿Cómo puedo hacerlo
mejor? Elijo seguir a Cristo, pero sé que no puedo
ni siquiera empezar sin la luz del Espíritu Santo.
1. Dé las gracias. Doy gracias a Dios por este día,
por mi vida, por todo lo que soy y tengo, y por Su
Palabra.
2. Oren por la Luz. Pido al Padre que me deje ver mi
día cuando el Espíritu Santo lo ve, y me mostraré lo
que tengo que ver.
3. Encontrar a Dios. Miro a mi día a la luz del
Espíritu. Miro hacia atrás en la mañana, la tarde y la
noche. ¿Quién habló conmigo o trabajó conmigo?
Qué he hecho llegar lo que quería hacer o dejar las
cosas?¿He seguido mi propio camino? ¿He hecho lo
que todo el mundo hace?
4. Cualquier cosa mal? ¿Ha salido algo mal? Es mi
trabajo incompleto? Siento el dolor de las
situaciones dolorosas que que no puedo cambiar.
5. ¿Y ahora qué? Espero con interés en la
esperanza. ¿Dónde tengo que Dios?

The application for the 2014-2015 school year is
available for new students. Please encourage friends,
family, and co-workers to stop by the school for a tour
and to pick up an application form. The next testing
date for grades 1-8 is April 2nd. If you have a
Kindergartner, please call the office for an
appointment.
LIFETOUCH SPRING PICTURES
Lifetouch will be at St. Peter on Tuesday, March 25th.

YEARBOOK ORDERS
It is time to order your yearbook! This year our
yearbook is full of pictures of the many events and
celebrations we have during the year. Having a
yearbook is a wonderful way to remember your
teachers, classmates, and special friends. The cost is
$25. Don’t delay and order today!

IN THE CLASSROOM
In 2nd – During the season of Lent we are choosing
one way we will follow Jesus more closely. We are
also going to Mass each Wednesday during Lent. In
Math we are working on counting money.
In 3rd- This is our big week! We’ve prepared for the
WCEA/WASC visitation. We are proud of all of our
accomplishments and improvements. We have also
worked to understand and implement our Student
Learning Expectations. God Bless our efforts. Thank
you to our parents, staff, and administration,
shareholders and students – we’ve all worked very
hard to be successful.

Es tiempo de ordenar sus libros del año. Este año el
libro está lleno de fotos de muchos eventos y
celebraciones que tuvimos durante el año. Tener

EN LOS SALONES DE CLASES
En 2ndo – Durante la temporada de Cuaresma
estamos eligiendo una forma de seguir a Jesús más
cercanamente. También asistimos a la Misa los
miércoles durante la Cuaresma. En Matemáticas
estamos trabajando en contar dinero.
En 3ro- Esta es la semana grande. Hemos
preparado para la visita WCEA/WASC. Estamos
orgullosos de todos los logros y mejorías. También

In 4 – Students continue to work hard and learn about expectativas de aprendizaje de los estudiantes. Que

In 5th – In Reading we are beginning the novel, the
Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. We
are taking a Math test on Wednesday on adding and
subtracting fractions and mixed numbers. Also 5th
would greatly appreciate donations of tissue for the
classroom.
In 7B – In Math we finished taking the Common Core
Benchmark Assessment. We are now learning about
lines, angles, and triangles.
In 8th – This week the kids are teaching each other in a
hands-on “how to presentation.” They will evaluate
the effectiveness of each group’s functional directions
as they consider did it work or not.

niños busquen en casa y lean sobre sus deberes.
En 5to – En lectura hemos comenzado con una
novela, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by
C.S. Lewis. Tendremos un examen de matemáticas
el miércoles en suma y resta de fracciones con
números. Además, 5to apreciara donación de
Kleenex ara el salón de clases.
En 7B – En Matemáticas hemos terminado con el
asesoramiento de Common Core. Hoy estamos
aprendiendo líneas, ángulos, y triángulos.
En 8vo- Esta semana los estudiantes se están
enseñando los unos a otros. Ellos evaluaran la
efectividad de cada grupo, en dirección funcional
considerando los trabajos o no.
