Transit DEIS
Alternatives
In addition to the No Action Alternative, two transit
alternatives are being evaluated in the DEIS. Both are
located on the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) Corridor, but
use different connections from the UPRR Corridor north to
Denver International Airport (DIA). Transit alternatives being
evaluated in the DEIS include:
' No-Action Alternative - All other regional FasTracks
corridors except East Corridor
' DEIS Alternative 1 - Union Pacific Commuter Rail
' DEIS Alternative 2 - Union Pacific Light Rail
Both of the transit alternatives include a transit extension
from 30th Avenue/Downing Street to the UPRR Corridor near
40th Street/40th Avenue with a proposed station in the
vicinity of 33rd Avenue/Downing Street.
Transit No-Action Alternative

The transit no action alternative is all of the elements of the FasTracks Plan
(which includes expanded bus service) without:
! The East Corridor
! “D” line extension from 30th and Downing to 40th Avenue
