“I have come to set the earth on fire.” Luke 12:49
Twentieth Sunday in Ordinary Time — August 18, 2013 REFLECTION Gathered today as we are in God’s presence, we bring our lives to the altar as we offer to God our thanks and praise. For we know that even in the midst of division and distress in the world, God will lift us up as Jeremiah was lifted up from the cistern, as today’s first reading relates. May our prayer today be for the courage to be faithful witnesses to what God has done. We appreciate your contribution to our celebration of the Mass. FAITH FORMATION Have you registered for Faith Formation classes yet?
