THOUGHTS AND MEDITATIONS
The Life Teen program at St. Theresa is designed to help
high school students grow in their faith journey, as well
as socialize with peers. Through a number of different
activities such as skits, games, Q&A sessions and small
group discussion, the young people of our parish have
the opportunity to grow in their relationship with God.
And since many of you may already be rolling your eyes
and ready to turn the page, I would like to borrow from
late night television and share with you
Ten Top Reasons to Participate in Life Teen:
#10–You get a delicious home-cooked meal
immediately following 5 pm Mass
#9 – Re-writing and performing Vanilla Ice’s “Ice, Ice
Baby” as “JC Baby” or “I’m On a Boat” is perfectly
acceptable and even encouraged.
#8 – You get the chance to “Stump the Priest” in Q& A
sessions with me.
#7 –YouTube and music videos are often part of the
evening.
#6 – Fun and game nights include water balloons and
trashcan wars.
#5 – Service projects always lead to pizza parties.
#4 – You can become part of the five-time Son Fest
beach volleyball championship team.
#3 – Creative activities like decorating t-shirts or
forming a human rosary.
#2 – You get to spend an hour and a half each week with
friends.
And the #1 reason all high school students should
participate in Life Teen – You get to grow closer to God
through fun, not lectures.
I encourage all teens and their parents to explore all the
opportunities that the Life Teen program at St.Theresa’s
offers. No matter where you are in your faith journey, the
program wants and has a place for you.
PENSAMIENTOS Y MEDITACIONES
ustedes:
Las Diez Razones Principales Por Que Participar
En Life Teen
5:00pm.
#9 – El volver a escribir y presentar Vanilla Ice “Ice, Ice
Baby” como “JC Baby” ó “I’m On a Boat” será
perfectamente aceptable y alentador.
secundaria deben participar en Life Teen – Llegas a
May God bless you.
ti.
Fr. Fernando Molina Restrepo, Pastor.
Que Dios los bendiga,
Padre Fernando Molina Restrepo, Pastor.
