PENTECOST SUNDAY
First Reading: Acts 2:1-11
The disciples were celebrating Pentecost together when
"tongues of fire appeared which parted, then came to
rest on each of them." The disciples were filled with the
Holy Spirit and began speaking in foreign tongues. Visitors from many different countries were amazed that
each guest could hear his or her native language being
spoken as the disciples proclaimed God's glory.
Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 12:3b-7, 12-13
Each person has received different manifestations of the
same spirit to contribute to the common good of all. All
members of the church have been baptized into one
body because of our belief in the Holy Spirit, who was
sent to us by God.
Gospel: John 20:19-23
Jesus appeared to the disciples even though they had
locked the doors in fear. Jesus then showed the disciples his hands and his side; and they rejoiced at his
presence. He breathed on them saying "Receive the Holy Spirit." He then gave the disciples the power to forgive others or hold them accountable for their sins.

CONGRATS ON 1ST COMMUNION
Congratulations to all our candidates who received the Body and

SILVER ROSE MASS
We will be celebrating a ‘Silver Rose’
Mass in Spanish in honor of Our Lady
of Guadalupe tomorrow May 20th during the 7PM Spanish Mass. A silver rose
will be presented during this Mass that
has traveled from Canada to Mexico in
honor of Our Lady. We thank the
Knights of Columbus for presenting the silver rose.
Thank you! All are invited to venerate the patroness
of the Americas!
ST. MARTIN DE PORRES MEETING
We remind the members of the St.
Martin de Porres Guild that today after
the 10:30 Mass, there will be the
monthly meeting in the Marian room.

CHARISMATIC TRIP
Our charismatic group,
“Nueva Uncion,” invites all
parishioners to a pilgrimage
to the Basilica of Washington
D.C and a Franciscan Monastery. It will be on Saturday,
June 22nd. They will be departing at 5:30AM from the parking lot of our
church. Adult tickets will cost $50 and kids (ages 510) will be $25. For more information, please contact

REL. EDUCATION REGISTRATION
We have begun Religious Education
registration, for classes that begin in
September. ALL students need to
register again. In order to take advantage of the lowest possible price
for registration, and greater availability of choice, please register in May
or June. Registrations will be on
Mondays from 3PM-6PM, Tuesdays
9:30AM11:30AM, Thursdays 4PM-8PM and Saturdays 9AM
-12PM. The child’s birth certificate and baptismal
certificate are required in order to register the child.
Without both, we will be unable to register the child.
If your child is not baptized or has a learning disability, please inform us! If your child was baptized at
our church and you do not have the Baptismal certificate, you must request it at the rectory and it will be
ready in 2 days minimum.
PRESBYTERAL ORDINATION
Our resident Deacon Jonathan Perez will
be ordained a priest next Saturday! He
invites all to his First Mass next Sunday,
May 26th at 1:30 PM. After Mass, there
will be the opportunity to receive his
blessing in the basement of the church. All are invited to share in this beautiful moment.
TRAINING-COMMUNION MINISTERS
Hispanic Ministers of Distribution of
Holy Communion will have a training in the Marian Room on June 1st
at 1:30 PM for all new ministers and
those who have not have a training
in the last three years.
MEMORIAL DAY-MAY 26TH
There will be only a Mass at 9 AM and the rectory
will be closed on Monday, May 27th in keeping with
the national festivity of Memorial Day.

Celebraremos la Misa de la ‘Rosa de
Plata’ en honor de la Virgen de Guadalupe mañana lunes, 20 de mayo,

de plata se presentará durante esta
Misa que ha viajado desde Canadá

Ya hemos empezado la registraciones de educación
religiosa, que empezará en Septiembre. Todos los
estudiantes necesitan inscribirse de nuevo. Por favor,

PM. Martes 9:30 AM -1 PM. Jueves 4-8 PM. Sábados 9 AM-12 PM. Traiga el acta de bautismo y partida de nacimiento, sin el cual no se puede inscribir,
salvo que no esté bautizado. ¡Si su niño no está bautizado, o tiene dificultades de aprendizaje, por favor
déjenos saber! Si su hijo (a) ha sido bautizado aquí y
no tiene la fe de bautismo tiene que pedirlo a la rectoría y se la entregaremos en 2 días mínimo. No podrá recibir el certificado el mismo día que registre a
su hijo (a) para catecismo!

Documents which provide guidance when a person is
no longer able to make health care decisions are called
“advance directives.” It is recommended that those
completing an advance directive also appoint a health
care representative who is someone who is trusted and
authorized to evaluate what the patient would want
and to make those health care decision. The Catechism
of the Catholic Church provides clear guidance on the
end of life issues. The New Jersey Catholic Conference
(NJCC) of Bishops has an Advance Directives for
Health Care form which reflects the Catholic perspective. Copies are available by contacting the Respect Life
