La sección 203 de la Ley Federal de Derecho al Voto (VRA, por sus siglas en inglés) provee
protecciones de acceso lingüístico para muchos votantes que tienen una capacidad limitada
para leer, escribir o entender el Inglés. Bajo la ley VRA, los votantes que viven dentro de ciertas
jurisdicciones deben recibir recursos para votar en su lengua materna, incluyendo:

Todos los correos masivos relacionados con la elección
Avisos públicos y anuncios de actividades electorales
Formularios de inscripción y registradores bilingües
Instrucciones de votación, boletas electorales y trabajadores bilingües
