Sembrando Generosamente
"Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows
generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he
has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion,
for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace
abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you
need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written: "He has
scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures
forever." Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food
will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the
harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so
that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your
generosity will result in thanksgiving to God" (2 Corinthians 9:6-11).
"Pero esto digo: El que siembra escasamente, también segará
escasamente; y el que siembra generosamente, generosamente
también segará. Cada uno dé como propuso en su corazón: no con
tristeza ni por obligación, porque Dios ama al dador alegre. Y
poderoso es Dios para hacer que abunde en vosotros toda gracia, a
fin de que, teniendo siempre en todas las cosas todo lo necesario,
abundéis para toda buena obra; como está escrito: 'Repartió, dio a los
pobres, su justicia permanece para siempre.' Y el que da semilla al
que siembra y pan al que come, proveerá y multiplicará vuestra
sementera y aumentará los frutos de vuestra justicia, para que seáis
ricos en todo para toda generosidad, la cual produce, por medio de
nosotros, acción de gracias a Dios" (2 Corintios 9:6-11).
During this season we examined some of the wisdom Solomon left for
his son to teach him how to find contentment in life. Of this
instruction, Solomon frequently mentions the importance of the proper
attitude toward our finances.
Durante esta temporada hemos examinado alguna de la sabiduría que

According to this week's scripture reading, God provides for us so that
we can provide for others. In fact, it appears that Paul is teaching that
the more we provide for others the more God will provide to us. Sadly,
the American church has lost its focus on this important aspect of our
worship to God. Notice how Paul finishes this message to the
Corinthian church: "This service that you perform is not only
supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many
expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you
have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that
accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your
generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. And in their
prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the
surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to God for His
indescribable gift!" (2 Corinthians 9:12-15).
What is your attitude toward meeting the needs of others through the
gifts that God has given you? What does this say about your attitude
toward God and His provision?
De acuerdo con la lectura de esta semana, Dios provee para nosotros
para que nosotros también proveamos para otros. De hecho, aparenta
que Pábulo enseña que entre mas proveamos para otros mas proveerá
Dios ha nosotros. Tristemente la iglesia Americana ha perdido su
enfoque en este aspecto importante de nuestra adoración a Dios. Vea
como Pablo termina su mensaje a la iglesia en Corintios: "porque la
entrega de este servicio no solamente suple lo que a los santos falta,
sino que también abunda en muchas acciones de gracias a Dios. Ellos,
por la experiencia de este servicio glorifican a Dios por la obediencia
que profesáis al evangelio de Cristo, y por la generosidad de vuestra
contribución para ellos y para todos. De igual modo, en su oración a
favor de vosotros, os aman a causa de la superabundante gracia de
Dios en vosotros.¡Gracias a Dios por Su don inefable!" (2 Corintios
9:12-15).

Jesus said –
"So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with
trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the
streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have
received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy,
do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who
sees what is done in secret, will reward you” (Matthew 6:2-4).
Jesús dijo –
"Por eso, cuando des a los necesitados, no lo anuncies al son
de trompeta, como lo hacen los hipócritas en las sinagogas y
en las calles para que la gente les rinda homenaje. Les
aseguro que ellos ya han recibido toda su recompensa. Más
bien, cuando des a los necesitados, que no se entere tu mano
izquierda de lo que hace la derecha, para que tu limosna sea
en secreto. Así tu Padre, que ve lo que se hace en secreto, te
recompensará" (Mateo 6:2-4).
