Almighty God, give us grace to cast away
the works of darkness, and put on the armor
of light, now in the time of this mortal life in
which your Son Jesus Christ came to visit us
in great humility; that in the last day, when

A Reading from Jeremiah 33:14-16
Lectura del libro de Jeremías 33:14 -16
The days are surely coming, says the LORD,
when I will fulfill the promise I made to the
house of Israel and the house of Judah. In
those days and at that time I will cause a
righteous Branch to spring up for David; and
he shall execute justice and righteousness in
the land. In those days Judah will be saved
and Jerusalem will live in safety. And this is
the name by which it will be called: "The
LORD is our righteousness."

A Reading from 1 Thessalonians 3:9-13
Lectura del libro 1 Tesalonicenses 3:9-13
How can we thank God enough for you in
return for all the joy that we feel before our
God because of you? Night and day we pray
most earnestly that we may see you face to
face and restore whatever is lacking in your
faith.
¿Cómo podemos agradecer bastante a
Now may our God and Father himself and
our Lord Jesus direct our way to you. And
may the Lord make you increase and abound
in love for one another and for all, just as we
abound in love for you. And may he so
strengthen your hearts in holiness that you
may be blameless before our God and Father
at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his
saints.
a verlos. Que el Señor los haga crecer para
que se amen más y más unos a otros, y a
todos, tal como nosotros los amamos a
ustedes.
Padre.

GOSPEL
WLP HYMNAL 889
THE GOSPEL
Luke 21:25-36
EL EVANGELIO
San Lucas 21-25-36
Deacon: The Holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus
according to Luke
People:
Deacon: El Santo Evangelio de nuestro
Señor Jesucristo según San Lucas
Pueblo: ¡Gloria a ti, Cristo Señor!
Jesus said, "There will be signs in the sun,
the moon, and the stars, and on the earth
distress among nations confused by the
roaring of the sea and the waves. People will
faint from fear and foreboding of what is
coming upon the world, for the powers of
the heavens will be shaken. Then they will
see 'the Son of Man coming in a cloud' with
power and great glory. Now when these
things begin to take place, stand up and raise
your heads, because your redemption is
drawing near."
poder y gran gloria. Cuando comiencen a
suceder estas cosas, cobren ánimo y
levanten la cabeza, porque se acerca su
redención.
Then he told them a parable: "Look at the
fig tree and all the trees; as soon as they
sprout leaves you can see for yourselves and
know that summer is already near. So also,
when you see these things taking place, you
know that the kingdom of God is near. Truly
I tell you, this generation will not pass away
until all things have taken place. Heaven and
earth will pass away, but my words will not
pass away.
cerca. Les aseguro que no pasará esta
generación hasta que todas estas cosas
sucedan. El cielo y la tierra pasarán, pero
mis palabras jamás pasarán.
"Be on guard so that your hearts are not
weighed down with dissipation and
drunkenness and the worries of this life, and
that day catch you unexpectedly, like a trap.
For it will come upon all who live on the
face of the whole earth. Be alert at all times,
praying that you may have the strength to
escape all these things that will take place,
and to stand before the Son of Man."

We give thanks to you, O God, for the
goodness and love which you have made
known to us in creation; in the calling of
Israel to be your people; in your Word
spoken through the prophets; and above all
in the Word made flesh, Jesus, your Son.
For in these last days you sent him to be
incarnate from the Virgin Mary, to be the
Savior and Redeemer of the world. In him,
you have delivered us from evil, and made
us worthy to stand before you. In him, you
have brought us out of error into truth, out of
sin into righteousness, out of death into life.
has librado del mal, y nos has hecho dignos
At the following words concerning the
bread, the Celebrant is to hold it, or to lay a
hand upon it; and at the words concerning
the cup, to hold or place a hand upon the
cup and any other vessel containing wine to
be consecrated.

On the night before he died for us, our Lord
Jesus Christ took bread; and when he had
given thanks to you, he broke it, and gave it
to his disciples, and said, "Take, eat: This is
my Body, which is given for you. Do this
for the remembrance of me."
Hagan
esto como memorial mío”.
After supper he took the cup of wine; and
when he had given thanks, he gave it to
them, and said, "Drink this, all of you:
This is my Blood of the new Covenant,

We pray you, gracious God, to send your
Holy Spirit upon these gifts that they may be
the Sacrament of the Body of Christ and his
Blood of the new Covenant. Unite us to your
Son in his sacrifice, that we may be
acceptable through him, being sanctified by
the Holy Spirit. In the fullness of time,
put all things in subjection under your
Christ, and bring us to that heavenly country
where, with[
and] all your
saints, we may enter the everlasting heritage
of your sons and daughters; through Jesus
Christ our Lord, the firstborn of all creation,
the head of the Church, and the author of our
salvation.
Únenos a tu Hijo
