SOCIAL CONCERNS
The Poor Box for the month of March is for Shepherd’s
Table, a nonprofit organization in downtown Silver Spring,
which is supported by volunteers, religious organizations,
government, businesses, foundations and individual donors.
Their mission is to provide help to people who are homeless or
in need by providing basic services, including meals, social
services, medical support, clothing and other assistance in an
effective and compassionate manner.
Bethesda House - thank you to all the volunteers for another
successful year providing dinners for 20 men in Bethesda
House. A calendar for the new year is posted in the church

three volunteers are requested for the third Tuesday of each
month. Important reminder: we are serving dinner for 20 BIG

Thought of the week:
St. Paul talks about the
Christian life as a race, and encourages us to run so as
to win. So it’s not just OK, it’s commanded to be
competitive, to strive to excel. But true greatness
consists in sharing in the sacrificial love of Christ, who
comes to serve rather than to be served. That means
that this race St. Paul is talking about is a race to the
bottom.-from 40 Days, 40 Ways

Sacramento.
tiene razón: “yo siempre he estado aquí contigo”… “ahora
