Happy Father`s Day
1305 Royal Avenue Simi Valley, CA 93065 The Most Holy Trinity June 15, 2014 Happy Father’s Day God our Father, in your wisdom and love you made all things. Bless those fathers who have taken upon themselves the responsibility of parenting. Bless those who have lost a spouse to death, or divorce, who are parenting their children alone. Strengthen them by your love that they may be and become the loving, caring persons they are meant to be. Grant this through Christ our Lord. In 1556, Marina Manriquez de Lara of Spain married a Czech nobleman, Vratislav Pernstyn, and brought a statue of the miraculous Infant Jesus to Prague. In 1629, Polyxena, daughter of Maria Manriquez de Lara, and wife of Baron Zdenek Vojtech Popel de Lobkowitz, Great Chancellor of the Kingdom of Prague, dedicated the statue to the Carmelite Monastery and the adjoining Church of Our Lady of Victories in Prague. Tips for summer camp safety Summer is almost here. School is almost out, and a whole host of new opportunities for recreation and relaxation await. Maybe you are sending your children to a music or sports camp? Or maybe they have been invited by their friends to go camping in the mountains or at the beach? Whatever the situation, it is important to remember that parents still have the responsibility of controlling access that new people will have to their children. If your children are attending a summer camp, insist that counselors or anyone else who might have access to your children have undergone an application process that includes a criminal background check and reference checks.
