OHLSEN
He is one of the first
guitarists to play the laud
in Chile. Ohlsen has toured
extensively throughout
North and South America,
England, Italy, Belgium,
Sweden, France, Germany,
Japan and the People’s
Republic of China. At
present he is recording at
EMI and SVR. He has also
written “Aspectos técnicos
esenciales en la ejecución
del laúd” (Essential
technical aspects in the
playing of laúd) and “La
música barroca: un nuevo
enfoque” (The baroque
music: a new point of
view), published by Opera
Tres in Madrid and
Ediciones Universidad
Católica de Chile
respectively. He teaches at
the Institute of Music,
Faculty of Arts, Pontifical
Catholic University of
Chile.
EDUARDO
FIGUEROA
He formally studied guitar
with Oscar Ohlsen and
later on decided to study
“early music” obtaining his
lute diploma at the
Accademia Internazionale
della Musica di Milano
under the guidance of Paul
Beier. Dedicated to solo
performances he has given
recitals in major concert
halls and Festivals in Italy,
Spain, France, England and
South America, and is a
member of both ensembles,
Gruppo Seicento (Italy)
and Estudio Music Antigua
(Chile). He is presently
teaching at the Institute of
Music, Faculty of Arts,
Pontifical Catholic
University of Chile.
