Dear students and families,
I hope you have had a great summer! August 26th is fast approaching, and I hope that you are looking
forward to joining us at Weatherford High School. We are working hard to prepare for you. Our building
is being cleaned, our teachers are receiving training…we are working diligently to get ready. Our
community and school district are committed to making sure that you have what you need in order to
be successful this next year as our building and our staff are “freshened up” for your arrival.
I hope that you likewise bring a fresh perspective and attitude with you this year. You are on your high
school journey with the end goal being graduation. What you do this year will determine your progress
on that journey. I encourage you to come prepared to succeed. What will it take to succeed at our
school? It will take a commitment from you to be responsible for your part in the learning process. I
promise that we are committed to joining you and supporting you in your journey towards graduation.
Last year we talked about “Crossing the Line.” If you will remember, that means that we choose to
commit, work hard, focus, and learn from our failures. We encourage you to cross the line again with us

We are committed to making this year a great one and helping you achieve a high standard of

Estimados Estudiantes y Padres de Familia:
Espero que hayan tenido un gran verano. El 26 de agosto se aproxima rápidamente y espero que estén
a la expectativa de empezar la escuela. Estamos trabajando mucho para estar listos para ustedes. Las
instalaciones están siendo aseadas y los maestros están recibiendo capacitación. La comunidad y el
distrito escolar tienen el compromiso de asegurarse que los estudiantes reciben lo que necesitan para
tener éxito este año y es así que tanto el edificio como el personal de la escuela están alistándose para
recibirles.
Espero que de igual manera ustedes traigan una perspectiva fresca y una actitud renovada. Ustedes
están embarcados en un viaje cuyo objetivo final es la graduación. Lo que hagan este año determinará
su progreso hacia dicho objetivo. Les exhorto a que lleguen preparados. ¿Qué se necesita para tener
éxito en la escuela? El compromiso de responsabilizarse por su propio proceso de aprendizaje. Les
aseguro que nosotros tomamos muy en serio nuestro compromiso de acompañarlos y apoyarlos en su
recorrido hacia la graduación.
El año pasado hablamos de “Cruzar la Línea.” Como recordaran, esto quiere decir que nos
comprometemos, trabajamos con ahínco, nos enfocamos en nuestros objetivos y aprendemos de
