of light, the new age Christ initiated with His Resurrection fills the world with hope
and illumines the Church’s whole liturgical year with its brilliance.

ow Jesus’ Rising has transfigured every year into “a year of
favor from the Lord.” Especially this
year which Pope Francis has proclaimed the Extraordinary Jubilee
Year of God’s tender Mercy. The culmination of all human history takes
place in the Passover of Jesus, in His
Death and Resurrection.
only door to our immortal new resurrected lives. How can this happen?
Through our faith and baptism, receiving the sacraments, we are literally incorporated into Christ, into His
mystical, invisible body, the Church.
We share His destiny by sharing His
nature. We are grafted onto him. He
said: “I am the Vine, you are the
branches.” The same life, everlasting and resurrected, runs through
both the vine and the branches,
through both the Head and the body,
through Christ and us Christians.
I
n the Paschal Mystery each generation experiences a foretaste of
the Kingdom of God. So, Easter is
not simply one feast among others
but is the “Feast of Feasts,” just as the Eucharist is the “Sacrament among Sacraments.” St.
Athanasius calls Easter “the Great Sunday”
which we continuously celebrate every Sunday
throughout the year. And every Sunday we
wonder anew at what Christ has accomplished.
As St. Paul stated, what happened to Him will
happen to us—so we will all share in His Risen
Life.

o, we are glad today, “the Day the Lord has
made” that despite our sinful humanity,
our frail mortality, our aging and our illness—
we will all one day all enjoy perfect resurrected
bodies patterned after the body of the glorified
Lord. We rejoice because whatever God has in
store for us will be better than we can possibly
imagine. Why? because He is Risen. It is the
Lord! Now the glorified Lord, able to confer
His new life on all who believe in Him.

¡Un feliz y bendito Domingo de Resurrección a todos! ¡Aleluya! ¡El ha
resucitado verdaderamente! Comenzando con el Triduo Pascual (Viernes
Santo y Domingo de Pascua) como una fuente de luz, la nueva era iniciada
por Cristo con Su resurrección llena al mundo con esperanza e ilumina
todo
Ahora la resurrección de
Jesús ha transfigurado
cada
año en "un año de gracia
del Señor." Especialmente este año, que el papa
Francisco lo ha proclamado el Año de Jubileo
extraordinario de la tierna misericordia de
Dios. La culminación de toda la historia humana tiene lugar en la Pascua de Jesús, en su
muerte y resurrección. En el misterio pascual
cada generación experimenta un anticipo del
Reino de Dios. Por lo tanto, la Pascua no es
simplemente una fiesta entre otras: sino es la
"fiesta de las fiestas," al igual que la Eucaristía
es el "sacramento entre los Sacramentos." San
Atanasio llama Pascua "al Gran Domingo", que
continuamente se celebra los domingos durante todo el año. Y todos los domingos nos preguntamos de nuevo en lo que Cristo ha hecho.
Como lo indica St. Pablo, lo que pasó con él va
a pasar con nosotros, así que todos compartiremos en Su Vida resucitado. Jesús dijo: "Yo
soy el Camino, la Verdad y la Vida; nadie puede venir al Padre sino es por mí.
"La resurrección de Cristo es la única puerta a
nuestras inmortales nuevas vidas resucitadas.
¿Cómo puede pasar esto? A través de nuestra fe
y el bautismo, la recepción de los sacramentos,
estamos literalmente incorporados en Cristo,
en su cuerpo místico, invisible, la Iglesia. Compartimos Su destino al compartir su naturaleza.
Estamos injertados en él. El dijo: "Yo soy la
vid, y ustedes los sarmientos." La misma
vida, eterna y resucitada, se ejecuta a través
tanto de la vid y los sarmientos, como a través
de la cabeza y el cuerpo, y a través de Cristo y
de los cristianos. Por lo tanto, hoy estamos alegres, "el día que hizo el Señor" que a pesar de
nuestra humanidad pecadora, nuestra mortalidad frágil, nuestro envejecimiento y nuestra
enfermedad, todos vamos un día a disfrutar de
los perfectos cuerpos resucitados modelados
después que el cuerpo del Señor glorificado.
Nos alegramos porque todo lo que Dios tiene
reservado para nosotros será mejor de lo que
podemos imaginar. ¿Por qué? porque El ha resucitado. ¡Es el Señor! Ahora el Señor glorificado, capaz de conferir su nueva vida en todos los
que creen en Él.

EL DIA DE LA RESURRECCION

Después de la muerte de Jesús en el último
día, el evangelio de Juan presenta el primer
día, tiempo de la nueva Pascua y de la nueva
Creación. De este modo culmina la obra de Jesús y el proyecto creador de Dios. Comienza el
día por un amanecer, aunque todavía oscuro,
porque el pensamiento de María Magdalena
está en el sepulcro, en el cadáver de Jesús.
El evangelio del Domingo de Resurrección
descubre la búsqueda de Jesús por parte de los
discípulos; una mujer y dos hombres. La mujer se adelantó y por su testimonio corrieron
juntos los dos hombres. Los discípulos reconocen los signos: losa retirada (roto el sello mortal), los lienzos aparte (el cuerpo desatado) y el
sudario enrollado en otro sitio (la muerte superada). La muerte no tiene la última palabra:
ha sido vencida por la vida.
Pedro a pesar de sus negaciones, pasa el primero, después de seguir a Juan, el cual se había adelantado por ser testigo de la cruz y por
su experiencia de amor. La escritura y la decisión de encontrar al Señor contribuyen a creer
que Jesús resucitó de entre los muertos.
El Día de la Resurrección
Este día de Pascua o de Resurrección es el más
importante y glorioso de todas las festividades
de la iglesia. Hoy celebramos llenos de júbilo
la Resurrección del Señor: El murió en la cruz,
pero ha resucitado, está vivo, está presente en
medio de nosotros, para no morir más. Este es
el testimonio del sepulcro vacío que Mar7ª
Magdalena y los apóstoles encuentran. Este es
el testimonio del Angel: no busquen entre los
muertos a quien esta vivo. En este día la iglesia entera, la comunidad de creyentes, siente
renacer en sí la esperanza en las promesas de
Cristo sobre un mundo nuevo y salvado. Así
como Jesús, todos los seres humanos tenemos
un destino de vida, hemos sido creados para
una felicidad, al cabo de un camino de dolor.
El hecho de que Jesús resucitara en domingo
hizo de éste el día central de la semana, el día
del culto a Dios. Se eliminó el sábado de las
prácticas judías para indicar que había llegado
la Nueva Alianza. Los cristianos por eso comenzaron a reunirse en domingo, para la celebración de la eucaristía, para partir el pan y
orar a Dios. Esta costumbre se ha conservado
hasta nosotros, y en todas las iglesias del mundo, personas de todas las razas e idiomas, se
juntan como hermanos para revivir la presencia de Cristo vencedor de la muerte. Cada domingo es para los cristianos una prolongación
semanal de la Pascua.
María Magdalena es una hermosa imagen de
la humanidad que va desesperada en busca de
Dios. Si nosotros sentimos la necesidad de
Dios, si lo buscamos , aun en medio del dolor
o la muerte, de la soledad o la desgracia, lo encontraremos. Dios está al alcance de la mano
cuando lo llamamos con sinceridad de corazón.
Cristo ha compartido con nosotros nuestra vida normal de dolor, de limitaciones, de lucha;
ha visto de cerca como andamos esclavizados
por el pecado y el egoísmo. El ha tenido que
atravesar la angustia y tormento del Viernes
Santo, para llegar al domingo glorioso de la
resurrección.
Reflexión
La misa de hoy reúne a los seguidores de Jesús
resucitado. En l sacramento del pan y del vino
conmemoramos en forma visible al Señor que
está presente hasta el fin de los tiempos, en
medio de nosotros. Ya no estamos abandonados a nuestra suerte, en un mundo de odio y
de muerte, sino que nos sentimos testigos de
una nueva esperanza. Si participamos con fe
en nuestra celebración del domingo podremos
decir a otros: “Hemos visto al Señor: está vivo”
