MINUTES
I.
Call to Order: Celinna Pinelo, Coordinator, Learning Support Services called the meeting to
order at 9:05 AM. She thanked everyone for their attendance regardless of the rain.
II.
Attendees: Ma. Elvira Aguilar, Juana Alvarez, Aideta Anorue, Laura Barajas, Isabel Bartolo,
Elisa Bell, Maria Caballero, Norma Camargo, Alejandra Cruz, Silvia De Jesus, Fredy
Dominguez, Christy Ferrer, Cruz Flores, Ignacio Fragoso, Marcela Galicia, Carmen Garcia,
Victoria Gomez, Sandra Gonzaga, Eva Gonzalez, Virginia Godian Perea, Ludivina

Approval of the Minutes: President Ma. Elvira Aguilar asked the members to review the
minutes. Several members stated that their names were left off the attendance rosters. The
following names will be added Juana Lugo Hernandez, Cruz Flores, Aideth Anorue, Silvia
De Jesus and Maricela Ramirez. The minutes were approved with the exceptions of these
changes.
IV.
Welcome and Introductions: Celinna Pinelo asked President Ma. Elvira Aguilar to say a few
words regarding her role as DELAC President. Ma. Elvira expressed her gratitude for being
elected as DELAC President. She shared that she is looking forward to the role and
experience. She hopes to be a support to our parents and help however she can.
V.
LCAP Survey: Celinna reviewed the purpose of the LCAP survey. She shared the importance
of parent voice and how the surveys help in determining district and school goals. She asked
that all members participate in taking the survey online. Chrome books were provided for the
meeting. Sonia Posthuma, Community Aide at Portola, facilitated the instructions on how to
take the survey online. Parents completed the survey.

Public Comment- There were no public comments at this time.
Adjournment-Celinna Pinelo thanked everyone for their attendance and invited them to
attend the next meeting January 23, 2015 9:00-11:30 a.m.
