Establish regular bed time and morning routines.
Lay out clothes and pack backpacks the night before.
Don’t let your child stay home unless he/she is truly sick.
If your child is anxious about going to school, talk to
school personnel or other parents for advice on how to
make them feel comfortable and excited about learning.

Attendance Policy
Our goal at Austin Elementary is to increase
student attendance. We want to work collaboratively with
our families; however, students are required to have
regular attendance at school. Please work with us to get
your child to school every day.
Austin Elementary’s Attendance Policy:
• Three or more absences will result in a system
generated warning email
• Five unexcused absences will result in an attendance
warning letter
• Between five and ten unexcused absences will result
in additional warning letters and phone calls from the
Assistant Principal, Principal, and/or Counselor. This
will include full day and “parts of a day”. That means
arriving late or leaving early will count toward the
child’s absences.
• If corrections are not made to improve attendance, a
court warning will notify the parent of the potential to
be filed on in a justice or municipal court. Parents may
be criminally charged, or fined, if their child has
another unexcused absence.
**Remember to send an excuse to school after
your child is absent.**

give your child a healthy start to the day. A
nutritious breakfast helps students be more alert so
they can learn more in class. Breakfast has vitamins
and nutrients for a strong and healthy body.

you qualify for free and reduced price meals, you
also qualify for the breakfast program with no
additional paperwork. You can’t find a healthy
breakfast at such a low cost anywhere else.

Política de Asistencia de Austin Elementary

Tres ausencias o más: se enviaré un correo electrónico de aviso
generado por el sistema

Cinco faltas injustificadas: se enviaré una carta de aviso sobre
asistencia

Entre cinco y diez ausencias injustificadas: se enviarán cartas
adicionales de aviso y recibirán llamadas de la/s
subdirectora/s, directora, y/o consejera escolar. Se tomarán en
cuenta tanto los días completos como los parciales, es decir, las
llegadas tarde y/o “salidas temprano” también contarán como
ausencias del estudiante.

Si la asistencia del estudiante no llegara a mejorar, los padres
del estudiante recibirán un aviso de la corte advirtiéndoles que
pudiera requerirse su comparecencia ante una corte de justicia
o municipal. Los padres del estudiante podrían llegar a recibir
cargos criminales o multas si su hijo/a llegase a tener otra
ausencia injustificada.
**Recuerden de mandar una nota/excusa para la escuela
si su hija/o a estado ausente.**
Hora de Salida
Desayuno en la Escuela
¡Los niños pueden desayunar en la escuela! Sus
niños pueden comenzar el día saludablemente al
comer el desayuno en la escuela. Un desayuno
saludable ayuda a los estudiantes estar más alertos,
y así aprender más. El desayuno tiene vitaminas y
nutrientes para un cuerpo fuerte.
Siguiendo las reglas de seguridad es
importante en que cada estudiante
llega a casa en una manera segura.
Ayúdenos en siguiendo nuestras reglas
de la hora de salida.

Contacten a la maestra/o de su
hija/o si tienen algún cambio de
transporte por teléfono o escrito
en una nota.


las 2:30pm van a tener que
esperar hasta lo hora de salida
de los estudiantes.
Y el desayuno en las escuelas no cuesta mucho$1.25. Si ya calificas para comidas gratis o comidas
a precio reducido, también calificas para el
Programa de Desayunos Escolares, y no tienes que
llenar más formularios.
¡Ayuda a tu niño a comenzar el día bien con
desayunos escolares!

Standard por el año escolar 2015-2016. La escuela
está comprometida con el progreso y el crecimiento

Consejero de crisis para C.I.S.D. estarán presentando información oportuna para todos los
padres. Las universidades y los empleadores informan una falta de estrategias de éxito,
resolución de problemas y habilidades de afrontamiento en los jóvenes de hoy. Vamos a darles
a nuestros hijos las herramientas necesarias para su futuro. Esta presentación abordará: Las
tres C - conexión, comunicación y coordinación.
Construyendo una base sólida
▪ Enseñarles a comunicarse y convertirse en un defensor de sí mismo
▪ Enseñarle a buscar recursos y motivar a que su hijo se sienta capaz
▪ Enseñarle a ser resistente en tiempos de crisis y emergencia
