BIOAZUL - PRODUCTS
BIOAZUL develops and markets its own products, in particular
additives for wastewater treatment: LODOred – Sludge
Reducer for Wastewater Treatment Plants
BIOAZUL commercialises advanced technologies in the field of
wastewater treatment: Sequencing Batch Reactors for Small –
Medium Applications (SBR) and Membrane Bioreactors (MBR)

which have already been successfully demonstrated, but
due to remaining risks need incentives to penetrate significantly

a reduction of waste, and/or increasing recycling and recovery
High potential of LODOred for industrial applications (food)

To promote the market introduction of the ecoinnovative product LODOred for the reduction of
surplus sludge generated in the wastewater treatment
plants of slaughterhouses, meat processing and dairy
industry

ENVIROMENTAL OBJECTIVES
Waste reduction in the targeted food industry sectors
Improving water quality of receiving water bodies
Reducing the “ecological footprint” of the complete wastewater treatment
process in the food industry
Facilitating access of SMEs to innovative “green” knowledge, increase
awareness, and promote networking

Reduction of disposal costs for sewage sludge by 35%
Reduction of costs for polymers for sludge dewatering (50%)
Reduction of energy costs (sludge handling, transporting and burning)
Reduction of pollution fees by 20%
