Bulletin Announcements Charting the Course: A Future Full of Hope for the Diocese of Kalamazoo - Deanery Meetings with Bishop Paul J. Bradley: Motivated by the desire to meet the pastoral needs of the faithful, and faced with the reality of a limited number of priests, Bishop Bradley has called for the implementation of a Diocesan Pastoral Plan. This plan will introduce a new structure of parish collaboratives, a grouping of three to four parishes led by one pastor. There will also be time for discussion and questions. Following is the remaining schedule: Feb. 11: Southeast Deanery Meeting (St. Mary Assumption, Bronson, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. ; Holy Angels Parish, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Feb. 23rd – Northern Deanery Meeting – St. Therese, Wayland, 4 – 6 p.m. Feb. 29th – Lakeshore Deanery Meeting – St. Bernard, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. March 15 – Eastern Deanery Meeting – St. Mary Parish, Marshall, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. The Presence 2016: The deadline for this popular annual retreat is Feb. 10th. Do you want to come to a deeper understanding of who Jesus Christ is and how He is present in your life? The Presence is an encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist specifically for 9th – 12th high school youth that will assist in exploring this question. Join us from Friday, February 26th – Sunday, February 28th 2016 at Hackett Catholic Prep (1000 West Kilgore Road, Kalamazoo, MI 49008). Cost is $80 per participant (either youth or chaperone). Diocesan Annual Retreat - March 5-6, 2016 at Transformations Spirituality Center. Facilitators are Deacon Kurt Lucas and Jamin Herold. This year’s theme is Year of Mercy: The Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy. The retreat begins with 9:00 am Mass on Saturday, March 5, 2016 and concludes after the 9:30 am Mass on Sunday, March 6, 2016. There are two options available when you register – one is with an overnight stay and the second is for those who would like to commute. The cost is $100 for double occupancy, $125 for single occupancy and $80 for those commuting. Deadline for these prices is February 12, 2016. After that there is an addition $20 added on. This year we are limited to 11 overnight rooms so register early. Households in need can receive up to $250 of assistance to help with heating expenses. Each Parish has a designated Heating Assistance Volunteer who will walk applicants through the process – please call CCDOK at 269-381-9800 if you need help getting in touch with your designated volunteer. We are so grateful for the many individuals across the Diocese who contributed to the program. Your gifts truly help warm the hearts and hands of those in need. A report of sexual misconduct can be initiated at the Diocese of Kalamazoo’s Sexual Misconduct Question and Reporting Line: (877) 802-0115. A caller will be requested to provide his or her name and telephone number. All calls regarding sexual misconduct will be returned, usually within one hour. This toll-free telephone number has been established as a part of the Diocese’s effort to protect children, young people and other vulnerable people in our schools, parishes and ministries. This line is for reporting suspected sexual misconduct or child abuse within Diocesan institutions and ministries only. If you have some other concern about Diocesan schools, parishes or ministries, please contact the appropriate Diocesan school, parish or office directly.
