ADF Appeal
Today the 2016 Archbishop’s Appeal begins in our Parish
and throughout the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. This
is an opportunity to unite with all Catholics in the Archdiocese sharing our blessings and God’s love with others.
Your gift is important. Please assist the works of Religious
Education, Hispanic Ministry, Pastoral Ministry, Youth &
Young Adult Activities, Family Life Programs, and many
other services provided by the Archdiocese. As always,
our Parish goal for this year’s ADF is 100% participation.
So many more good works would be accomplished with
full participation! No matter how small, every gift is an act
of worshiping God. Search your hearts and you’ll find
God’s love there. Thank Him by living your life as Jesus

Volunteer coordinator
Oklahoma Catholic Broadcasting Network is looking
for a volunteer to serve as a volunteer coordinator. This organized, motivated individual will help
recruit volunteers, provide training and work with
project managers to coordinate volunteer activities.
St. Valentine’s Day Italian Dinner

Youth Group on February 20th after the 4:00 P.M. Mass. Join us

The Social & Charitable Club
The Social & Charitable Club is asking the parish for peanut butter and crackers and crackers with peanut butter.
for the month of January to be placed in the wooden box
located at the back of the Church.
Please remember our parishioners in Afghanistan who are
defending freedom. Donate items they would want!

Marriage: The Image of God
This sacrament (Matrimony) leads us to the heart of God’s design, which is a plan for a covenant with his people, with us all, a
plan for communion. At the beginning of the Book of Genesis,
the first book of the Bible, at the culmination of the creation account, it says: “God created man in his own image, in the image
of God he created him; male and female he created
them...Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and
cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh” (Genesis 1:27;
2:24).
The image of God is the married couple: the man and the woman;
not only the man, not only the woman, but both of them together.
This is he image of God: love God’s covenant with us, is represented in that covenant between man and woman. And this is very
beautiful! We are created in order to love, as a reflection of God
and his love. And in the marital union, man and woman fulfill this
vocation through their mutual reciprocity and their full and definitive communion of life.
